Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

KCCO - pillowcase sewing

Ever since I found this tutorial, I just can't stop dreaming about fabric for pillowcases. I think ever member of my family will have a new pillowcase (or two or three!) by the time I am done. I am starting with the girls, C in particular since her birthday is just around the corner. I have been trying to create a "horse bedroom" for my girls (their request), and pillowcases seem like a good place to continue that theme.

The fabrics you see above are from two separate lines - the horses are from Wee Wander by Sarah Jane and then the flower and strawberry fabrics are from Briar Rose by Heather Ross. I think they compliment each other quite well, and will help bring together the girls' curtains and a special quilt in the works for C's bed (made by the talented Thouraya). K will also get a horse pillow but her horses will be on a green background, as that is her favorite color.

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

Thanks!

How exciting, I can't wait to see the pillowcases! I have to get stuck into Clementine's Wee Wander Quilt soon...I still can't decide whether to do it like the rainbow quilts or something new...

it will be beautiful whatever you decide!
Thanks for sharing those fabric- I'll get some of that horse for my girl and the strawberries for my son!! My big girl requested a "horse" themed birthday, once again, so that's the perfect birthday dress fabric. Funny I used your girls' curtain fabric for her 4th bday dress!
Those pillowcase are going to be great, and it's a lovely idea!

Lovely fabrics and pillowcases are a great idea. I still have some that my mother embroidered when I was small. I love to use them
