I am wanting to learn more about waldorf education and philosophies so to incorporate more of that into our family and home. What books or other recommendations would you suggest? I see you have two at the top of this page but cannot read their titles.

The top book is great. It's called 'What is a Waldorf Kindergarten'. The book below it is just a tour of a Waldorf school in CO. The book is called 'Raising Waldorf'. If you go to the link above you'll see many more books on Waldorf education, too. I hope that helps!

Dear Nicole, thank you for your beautiful website. I am a mom of 2 (Kiara Skye who is 2 and a half and Tiago Star who is 6 months old). We live in Mtubatuba, South Africa. Mtubatuba is a very beautiful wild, rural, very hot part of the country. My husband and I have lived here for 4 years. I work part time at Africa Centre, and HIV research centre. I help to design and coordinate art and music community outreach projects at the Centre. In the afternoons, I am at home with my children. I treasure this time with my little ones and am so inspired by the beautiful art projects that you have shared. I went to a waldorf school myself and we plan to move closer to one when the children are ready to start formal school so that they can also share in this rich experience. In the meantime, I am trying to make Waldorf part of our everyday life. So these tips really help. Love Astrid xxxx

Dear Astrid, I also live in the bush, but in Alaska. I have found the Christopherus Homeschool Resources Web site to be incredibly helpful. In addition to homeschooling materials and audio downloads, there are incredible blog archives and an online discussion forum. I have a two and a half year old daughter, and I am just learning about and transitioning to a Waldorf inspired home life. Best wishes to you and your family, Chris
