The Grotto Festival of Lights

We are still in the midst of Christmas celebrations over here but I wanted to stop in quick to share a few glimpses into the past couple of days. Purple Grandma is here with us so we have been out and about more than usual lately. Of course we visited our usual hangout - Bob's Red Mill, and I am happy to say that after three years of living in Portland, Oregon, we finally visited the Grotto for it's Festival of Lights. I dare say we found a new favorite place to visit!
Be back again soon to share our handmade gifts (both mine as well as the girls!) and to catch up on responses.

Thank you! I hope you are enjoying yours as well!!
This was a lovely photo set. I really like the photo of K & C sipping their juice and C looking lovingly at her doll in the high chair. Precious! Enjoy your week!

Thanks! I love that pic, too.I didn't realize just how long my C's hair is!
Looks like you guys are enjoying your outings in the mild weather. As long as we can't be snowed in, we might as well get out and about, right? :) We went to the Grotto for the first time this year (not sure why we never went before - it is only 5 minutes from out house). My kids loved the angel theme they had going. They've never been to a Catholic church before, and were fascinated with the beautiful images and statues, especially the mosaic of St. Peregrine. Your photos make me want to take make a trip down to Bob's Redmill...we're almost through another 25 lb bag of oats, anyway...Hope you all have a very happy New Year!

Angela, I agree!! We are freezing our fingers noses off but still able to get out there! Our church isn't as elaborate as the Grotto but still special.I would love to attend Mass there sometime, though.
