Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

??

Little L's birthday yarn arrived on Saturday so it's time to put my sweater on pause, at least for a little while. Isn't this colorway gorgeous? It's called Happiness and was made especially for a yarn shop back home in Portland, OR. It reminds Little L and I of his dearest friend "Baby Blue Eyes". Love!

I actually exercised some self control and waited to cast on his sweater in favor of finding an easy stopping point on the FLS. Splitting for the sleeves seemed as good of a place as any. That was I was able to try it on quick to check my progress. So far so good! Knowing how scatterbrained I can be, I also made sure to type up a lot of notes and to say where I left off to avoid confusion when I came back to it. The last thing I want is to mess it all up because my memory didn't serve me well.

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

p.s. - My wonderful friend Jackie is hosting a Luna Grey yarn giveaway over on her blog right now!  It's for a skein of Apollo - her new bulky weight 100% superwash merino wool yarn. Luna Grey is one of my absolute favorite yarns. If you haven't tried some for yourself, you must! You won't be disappointed.  The giveaway ends next Monday, Jan 27th.

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! A gorgeous colour! I am certain that you will produce another great sweater. Looking forward to seeing it.
Wow, what a beautifull color. Really beautifull.
That color is going to look so wonderful on sweet little L!

I am knitting myself a cardigan too, first time I am knitting something so special for myself, and about to be dividing for the sleeves also… (I made myself finish a pair of pants for Elsie first…)

XOXOXO
I can feel how soft that yarn is through the picture! Thank you for hosting the KCCO links, I have enjoyed reading them all this morning.
must. have. that. yarn. Really, though perhaps I should remember "though shalt not covet thy friends yarn".

Lovely creations---- by everyone!

Blessings,
Samantha Disch {Wild Maple Wool}
Beautiful yarn! I can't wait to see the sweater on your sweet little one. And your FLS - I so want to make a February sweater. Someday!
That color is amazing! Can't wait to see it worked up.

I knit a FLS during my pregnancy with Alex. (It's too big now, but I did love it then. I'd love to knit another so I can enjoy it again.) It's such a nice pattern. I hope you love yours.
that is the perfect blue! just lovely :)
I`ve been looking for the perfect colour for a project for my son and thanks to you I just found out. This is gorgeous! Love that mad tosh yarn too.

That's a beautiful colour! I have a *thing* about blue atm - and we've not long painted both our living room and bedroom a duck egg blue.
