Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

L's prop addition

{Little L's version. He always feels that props are needed.}

I really should be working on Little L's birthday sweater, but the yarn hasn't arrived yet. At least that's my excuse for starting on a sweater for myself. It's a good excuse, right? I actually cast on in a moment of sheer desperation after trying to find something to wear to go out of the house. Most of my clothes are worn and threadbare and the idea of a little something new helped me feel a bit better. Besides, the February Lady Sweater has been sitting in my queue for far too long and I even had the yarn custom dyed by Jackie months ago. Okay, more excuses. I guess I am feeling guilty (especially since the last project I knit was for me, too!)

The yarn choice was quite simple. Ever since I knit C's Koala Bear sweater, I knew I needed some of that beautiful pewter colorway for something of my own. Now let's just hope I don't butcher the pattern! Any advice, warnings, and/or thoughts from veteran FLS knitters out there?

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

What a very pretty color - and the yarn looks so squishy and warm! I like L's prop. Too fun! I'm sure you'll do a beautiful job on the sweater. :)
Lovely yarn and great prop! L is such a cutie!
Yes, the picture is nicer with a prop! Lovely guy :)
The February Lady sweater was my first adult sweater! It was very easy. I had to rip back the lace a couple of times, but when I finally got the hang of what the stitches were supposed to look like I would check the pattern as I went, as in after I knit a row I'd go back and eyeball the stitches to make sure I did it right. After awhile I memorized the lace pattern and never had to look back at it. The arms were slightly tricky, picking up stitches and maintaining the lace pattern, but I did it with no problems. My sweater's underarms are a little bit bulky, but not bothersome. I would like to knit another but I've just started the Bulle pattern for me! Knit in the round, yay!

Thank you for that!
Love the colour! Can't wait to see it finished...
That color is gorgeous. And we all need support for doing things for ourselves occasionally. I'm eager to see what you come up with:)
I did a FLS a couple years ago….and it was pretty much a perfect fit. I've heard some people complain that the arm hole depth was too shallow, but it fit me fine (I don't have very broad shoulders…broad shoulders could cause a problem, I think). I love the color you have chosen!!!

Thank you. I will have to try mine on soon to check on that.
What a gorgeous yarn colour, and I love that you gave the Little Guy a chance to take a photo too - I love his bird addition!
Beautiful sweater! And I love the little birdie! And oh, the red fox vest was so adorable, too. You are the best knitter! : )
