Remember Jack O' Kitten and our calling to help the animals around us (in the spirit of Saint Francis)? Well, we were given one last mission, just a couple of days before our move. Kevin spied this sweet little black and white kitten, who is most undoubtedly Jack O' Kitten's sister, passing by our front door. When he opened the door she ran right into our house as if it was hers. If that wasn't a sign, then I don't know what else could be! The children and I fell in love with her at first sight and just naturally started calling her Simpkin, as if that was who she always was. Perhaps our reading The Tailor of Gloucester nearly every day helped with that matter. Nevertheless, her name stuck, especially once Little L caught on. We added Jackie O' Kitten shortly thereafter in honor or her brother and our dear friends that we love so much. If our friends have the brother of our kitten then that makes us family of some sort, right?!
I know I mentioned in my post about Jack O' Kitten that we were having a hard time finding a temporary place to live in Idaho due to our seven pets but after meeting Simpkin Jackie O' Kitten, we figured eh, what's one more? She has really been helping the little ones with our transition and we are so thankful to her for that. I think we need her just as much as she needs us.
