Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

IMG_9858 I met with K's handwork teacher today for the last time (sob, sob) and she gave me the project you see pictured above that K was working on in class - a gnome! I love looking at her work in progress, so I just had to share it here with a late in the day photo. I hope you don't mind. This project brought about a new skill for K - purling! We'll be finishing her gnome together in the upcoming weeks.

I, on the other hand, have nothing to show for this week. Unless you want to count puffy eyes, a stomach in knots and half empty boxes everywhere.

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

p.s. - I went ahead and put up our Advent and Christmas reading list on the sidebar. I have to say that it was a slightly selfish thing to do. With all the chaos going on right now, it brought me great comfort to scour Amazon for all of our favorite books to share with you. For some reason they are not all showing up right now, but I will come back and try to update it again later.

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

What a wonderful thing to be able to finish together! I left a link to our advent activities for this year - there may be a few you can do after your move also! This fall we moved (we left the Hampton Roads area also) into a small apartment and instead of dragging Christmas decorations out of storage, we have decided to make most of them.

Congratulations on purling, K! The gnome looks wonderful - I can't wait to see the final project.

We are up to our ears in boxes here, boxes that are not currently going anywhere. I'm thinking of you all in your move. We get the final, FINAL word this week, hopefully - awaiting a signature before I make the big announcement. But it *looks* like we'll unpack these, and have the pros pack it all in a few months.

Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving, despite the chaos of what a move brings. I agree, sometimes perusing Amazon is just the ticket, even if we aren't having those books shipped to ourselves.
