Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.
KCCO - Multnomah falls

I am still working on my Multnomah Falls here and there when I can, but I am realizing that K's birthday is just around the corner and I need to get working on her birthday sweater as well as her dress. Oh, and speaking of dresses I still need to finish the girls' Easter dresses, ahem. All in good time. Right now I am more concentrated on fun ocean related activities for my children. We are spending the next couple of weeks exploring the deep blue, inspired by Alphabet Glue! All three of my children had a blast Monday smashing ice with this little project (but we used sea creatures in ours) and they are eager for more! It helped release some of our built up tension, too. Do you have any suggestions or ideas to add?

What are you working on? Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

I /was/ working on a pair of socks.. until I got so beyond the point of frustration with the yarn I was using (beautiful indie dyed, but AWFUL awful splitty yarn...uuugh). I threw it all, one finished socks, one half finished, into a bag and stuffed it on a shelf.
The colour of your shawl is gorgeous! I can't wait to see it all knit up. Those summer projects sound like SO much fun! I'm stashing those ideas away for when warm weather rolls around here again.
Gorgeous colour!
Seeing you knitting makes me want to pick my needles back up. I have been in a knitting funk. I really only like to knit when it's cold, ha! Very cool that you all are doing oceans :) I bet you'd love the Jan Brett's Owl and the Pussycat. I made dolls to go along with the book. In the book underneath the boat there is a new fish, shell, and flower on each page (there are two concurrent stories going on). I swear we spent a week on that book acting it out, doing our own paintings, looking up the fish and flowers, ect. I also did a sand sensory tub for our oceans month, we read curious fish a lot, a did lots and lots of paintings with blue. For one we colored fish with white crayons and then water colored blue over them. Ok, ok I think that's enough! Sorry for such a long comment.. I hope you all are well!
That sounds like a lot of knitting ahead! I have heard a lot of great things about Alphabet Glue, but haven't ever seen it before. Maybe now is the time to look into it :-) Thanks for hosting!
