Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

KCCO - Babywearing poncho

There just isn't any way to take a pretty picture of this project - it is ginormous!

KCCO - Waldorf doll sized cap sleeved spring shirt

KCCO - photo sabotage

Little L enjoys some leisurely photo sabotage every now and then.

Remember my babywearing poncho (AKA Papoosa) I started on last year? Well, it became buried in my WIP pile and didn't see the light of day until last week. I am now almost done with it. It's looking a bit big for me. I am hoping not, though. I really want to finish this up so we can use it as the days get chillier.

I finished a birthday gift for K. A Waldorf doll sized cap sleeved spring shirt. It took a few tries but I eventually got it to the right size. I posted detailed notes here. I used bulky yarn only because I wanted it to match K's shirt but I think worsted would have knit up better and probably fit a bit more snug as well. I'll post pics of her doll wearing it after her birthday.

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

I'm so impressed that you're nearly finished your poncho! That pattern has always scared me off by how enormous it is. :) The dolly shirt is so sweet!! Thank you for sharing your notes. :) This week I'm sharing Nomi's finished legwarmers (modeled no less!) and a scarf I'm working on...actually I just finished it last night! xo~M.
I love that doll shirt! Here's mine this week, matching pajamas for my daughter and her doll plus some for the baby for our camping trip: http://rowanandoak.com/rowan-oak/2012/09/camping-...

No need to apologize!
Hopefully the poncho is forgiving in size. I think too big, is better than too small in the situation of that pattern. At worst, it will be like a giant blanket.

Ha,ha - perfect! I will try to remember this if it comes out too big and I am frustrated!
Oh, I love the yarn for your poncho! Can't wait to see finished pics!

If anyone's interested, I have a giveaway on my blog right now for a custom dyed skein of yarn! http://philwife.blogspot.com/2012/08/custom-dyed-...

Oh my goodness, it is ginormis!! (love that you used that "word") :) Just found you and am linking here for the first time with a post about a scarf that got frogged and restarted with a designed-it-myself pattern. LOVE the colors in the little sweater. :)
