You are all Inspiring! AKA the Crown is Done!

I finished it up a couple days ago, thanks to every one's help and suggestions! Couldn't have done it with out you! I feel so lucky and completely humbled that you would all take the time to visit my tiny space here and helpe me out. THANK YOU! I did a combination of pretty much all the suggestions on here and from some others I asked.

What do you think? Did I pull it off ok? Look more nest-like now?
I decided to represent Spring using the root children (of course!), a sheep and the nest. The clover is part Sprign and part for C's Irish name.
I wish I didn't put it off to the last minute and spent more time on it. I also wish I remembered more embroidery! Tee,hee. It's coming back to me from my high school days. I just hope that as she grows older she will know how much love went into it and it will be special to her.

Here's the whole crown:

Side 1

Side 2 ( will try to get a better pic later)

I will try and get the tutorial up soon,if anyone is still interested after seeing how this came out!

K helped me do the table cloth. She decided it needed some trim. I am finishing up C's dollie sleepy sack tonight. I *think* that's it.. although I still have no clue what C is wearing for her party!

Ok back to the crazy preparations. I'll be back to blog land after her big day! I can't believe my baby is turning 1!

Nicole, it turned out so beautiful!! I like the changes you made to the nest and the little spring child is so wonderful and lovely! Please promise to take pictures on C's big day... you know I have such a crush on her and her lovely kissable cheeks!

I love it! You did an amazing job, mama! I also think K was right about the trim. The pink ric-rac was the perfect touch.

It's gorgeous, Nicole! I LOVE what you did with the nest. And the root children are too sweet. I'd definitely be interested in a tutorial. I really want to make a birthday crown before my littlest one's next birthday. Having a Christmas birthday he needs all the special-ness that can be thrust his way. I seem to remember an adorable sweater that could be part of a lovely birthday ensemble. :)

It looks great! I love the root children on there.

I'll be attempting my first crown for my K's 2nd birthday at the end of May. (this is my vote for the tutorial...please, please pretty please?)

Jake will need one at the end of June too!

BTW, K is looking mighty big in those photos. What happened? She didn't think it was okay to GROW, did she?!

SO sweet! You know, you can always add to it in the future if you're not completely happy with it. Even so, I think it is perfect just like it is. How could any little girl not like it?
