Crafting On

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two, post it on your blog, on Instagram #craftingon and/or Flickr and then share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

crafting on Kevin and our three oldest went to Portland last week to pick up Purple Grandma from the airport. They had to spend the day there waiting for her plane so they made a few stops. One of those stops was my favorite bee supply store. They came home with this box of beeswax candle making supplies for me. Just what we needed now that Autumn is here and the gray clouds are rolling back in.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

Oh you've R.E.M.ned me that our beeswax didn't survive the move - making rolled candles is just so much fun now that the days are getting shorter and dark bookends my days - I'll have to get the kids to pick some up from the school shop!

Those doughnuts look tasty! Are they gluten free? Do you have a recipe to share?
How nice that they thought of you while they were away. Enjoy those supplies!
I love that you have a Purple Grandma in your life. One of my best friends also has a Purple Grandma. She got her name because she wore a purple coat.

Pssss......there is a little giveaway on my link post! Take a look, maybe you love it and win it!

I've never made beeswax candles. It looks fascinating. Also...what are those delicious donuts over on the side? Have you previously posted the recipe? I hope you will share the recipe and the finished candles, if you have time. Blessings, Fiordelisa
I can almost smell the beeswax! Such a lovely, golden color. We finally have some chilly autumn weather here in New England - we could use some warming light. Maybe I will search out my own candle kit.
