Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.
KCCO

Still can't bring myself to knit but I can do a few embroidery stitches here and there now. Happy dance! I started work on some Christmas ornaments that I have been wanting to make since I bought the kits back in Oregon. You can find them here. Maybe I will actually finish one by Christmas.

When I took pictures of our chamomile over the weekend my camera was acting up. I tried to ignore the warnings, allowing myself to think its acting up because it sat getting dusty for weeks. But then when I tried taking my KCCO pic my suspicions were confirmed - the lens is out of whack (again) and needs to be sent in for a repair. It won't focus manually or with auto. Last time I had to send it in (for the same reason) was just before Little L was born so at least it will be back in shape for this baby's birth.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

Those ornament kits looks wonderful! Can't wait to see what all you create with yours, Nicole. Thanks for hosting another Keep Calm Crafting On. I hope the camera fix isn't too expensive and that you get it back soon.
Aww I love those ornaments- I've made two of the sets and the rest are still in kit form!! Maybe I should pull out a set now and then I might have half a chance of finishing one by Christmas! I've been knitting this week
The ornaments look beautiful. I'm hoping to make some ornaments for the tree this year. I always mean to but end up remembering with only weeks to go!It's good to start early :)
That little blanket kind of looks like North Carolina! It has my mind turning with ideas for state Christmas ornaments since we just moved away from NC. It might be neat if our Christmas tree reflected all of the states that we have lived in!
Your embroidery looks pretty.

I just found your blog and linkup. It is a warm, cheery place! :)

I resonate well with this part of your about description ~ "always with a camera in hand to document our days so we may look back at these glorious yet exhausting times." I love taking pictures. So sad to hear you're having camera troubles.

Have a good week!
I've made about nine of Alicia's ornaments, however I haven't made that kit! You are going to love them once you finish. Each year I take them out and am so impressed with myself that I made them (I'm not much of an embroiderer!). They are such tiny little works of art, each one!
I think it's a brilliant idea to be making christmas ornaments in the summer! I love my Fa La La La La Felt book and every year (a little too close to Christmas!) I break it out and we all make something. I love hand sewing, it slows me down and that's good.

I added a link above (first timer here!) and was happy to see you are also a Waldorf home schooler - awesome! My link above is for my art blog but I also have a family blog. Glad I found you. :)
