Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

KCCO - knitting!!!
Happy Martinmas! I found a loophole in our schedule and fit in some knitting time! Thanks to Kevin who does the driving to and from K's horse classes, I get three hours (round trip total) of knitting time in the passenger seat. Perfect for working on some Christmas knitting. I had enough yarn left over from K's Christmas rainbow dress to knit one for C, too. I am reversing the colors on hers though to change it up a bit.
What are you working on?! Happy creating!

Hi Nicole! I am so glad to be linking up again (finally) with you. It's been way too long. Since having my daughter I haven't really been keeping up with reading my favorite blogs, so I am excited to go back and read yours to find out how you're liking your new home. Horse back riding lessons sound like so much fun, and I can't wait to see what you create for your babies for their Christmas presents. :)

I was in the boat! I have a newborn daughter and don't get to craft nearly as much.
oh congrats!! It's so good to "see" you again.
love the yarn you are using for the dresses, such great colors. :) happy martinmas!
Yes! Passenger car knitting. Some of the most productive crafting time.
How lovely. I feel intimidated by anything more than knitting a scarf. What would you recommend as a 1 step harder project to do after learning to make scarves?

I actually didn't attempt scarves until after I had been knitting awhile so I would consider you a few steps above where I was when I started out :) Scarves scared me for some reason :p If you could use some knitted animals and/or toys (or know someone who could) I love the patterns from the book I posted here: http://frontierdreams.blogspot.com/2011/05/knitti... They teach some increasing and decreasing and some other techniques that are a good transition, imo. Hope that helps!
I love the look of your rainbow dress Nicole. I hope you will show us the final result.
How lovely they get the same dresses! My girls LOVE to wear the same things.

I always read your blog but I don't comment a lot.. sometimes I don't know what to comment or there are so many lovery things said already... but I'm really wondering when you'll be back with your weekly Rhythm posts? I loved them there we a real inspiration to me and my family.

Have a nice week :)

It's so nice to hear from you Priscilla! You know what? I forgot about those posts! I'll have to look back over them and see what else I can post about. Were there any rhythm questions you had or were curious about?
Love how this dress looks - your knitting is always so pretty!
