Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.
KCCO

I am still working on K's birthday sweater but have found myself in need of a mindless project to work on during the day. After all, I can't work on K's sweater right in front of her! So I started on another jar cozy for my morning coffee or tea. I use my other one so much it would be nice to have one to switch it out with. This time around I am trying a modified pattern though and using leftover DK yarn from K's Little House shawl. At the moment it is looking a bit on the small side, but if it ends up being too snug I will just give it to K for her morning smoothie jar.

p.s. - Jackie over at Luna Grey Fiber Arts just launched a brand new website and to celebrate is hosting some amazing yarn giveaways. Check them out here!

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

I just love the colour of this variegated green yarn and I always love reading your posts! They make me feel so good! It's so good to know that there are still people who enjoy the simple things in life, who appreciate handmade gifts, accessories, clothes, healthy homecooked foods and who focus on other things in life than material things and try to live their lives in a more sustainable way. I hope to contribute to the world in that way and more important try to teach my children to do so too. Love, Alexandra.

Alexandra, I couldn't agree more! I love connecting with people that feel the same way :)
Love the semi solid yarn you're using :)
I agree with previous commenters, that yarn is lovely and jar cozy sounds like the perfect thing to finish one skein I have laying around here.

My post is in French but I still have the translation widget at the bottom of the blog page. Basically, I made a "princess" dress for my girl -she turned 6! and one for her precious dolly :)
Another fan of the yarn! Beautiful! I might have to make some jar cozies. My little ones don't like holding the cold smoothie jars in the morning so they put them on the table and drink from straws. This ends with a lot of spilled smoothies! ;)

Mine, too! I am hoping this might help. Even if this one ends up fitting my jar, I think I will knit some for my children, too.
Gorgeous colorway! I've never made a cozy yet....must put it on the knitting bucket list :)
I have just started following your blog, and I love the pictures & creativity in your posts. Thank you for sharing all your ideas and about your family life. I have been crafting & creating lately in the form of preparing my first child's nursery. Our baby girl is due in November, and it's a peace of mind for me to have the room complete before her arrival. Right now it's a jumbled mess of a room, but I have posted on my blog about the theme, some of my Etsy finds, and I will soon post my own artwork for the room and the finished product in a style photo shoot. http://mrsantonsanthology.wordpress.com/2014/07/2...

Thank you and congrats!!! What a magical time. Your nursery choices are so sweet. I look forward to seeing the all come together.

p.s. is that the American Girl doll that has the Saint Lucia outfit?!
