Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

Still chugging along here on the birthday gifts. I really should be done by now but my mind keeps jumping from one idea to another leaving nothing but half-finished gifts in it's wake. It also occurred to me that I needed get to work on a new Maggie Rabbit to finish in time for Easter. As you can see in the photograph above, C loved her to pieces-literally.

Any other thoughts or ideas on the fabric scraps mentioned in my last post?

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

I like your idea of embroidering around that briar rose fabric. What are you planning on doing with it when your finished? I think part of the sanity of crafting IS wandering from piece to piece, slowly progressing, then jumping into new ideas while they are still fresh in your head...who wants to leave a good idea behind?

I ended up just leaving it in the hoop and hanging it on the wall above C's bed. I do hope to embroider more of them, though and maybe add them to the pillow I am still figuring out. I like your point about leaving a good idea behind. I am going to remember this next time I wander back and forth!

Do I see some in your future?! ;)
You could use the triangles to make birthday bunting! Already cut out. I love the photo of the loved bunny. My son's favourite toy was a shop bought striped bunny, that we called Sleepy Bunny. I was so worried that we would lose him that we bought a spare, but then one awful day he was holding Sleepy Bunny but saw the duplicate going round in the washing machine. We said that Bunny's Sister had come to visit. I still have both in the back of a wardrobe, even though they are both really rags now.

Oh what a sweet story!! I can just imagine the look he must have had on his face when he saw the duplicate!
Bunting was my first thought too! Also, if you're up for more of a challenge, a flying geese quilt pattern would be a great way to use your triangles. If they're right angles... http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltpatternsproject... http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/quilt-patterns/wall...

I love the bee fabric. Can you share where you bought it?

Its from the Wee Wander line by Sarah Jane. I found it on Etsy.
I love the embroidery on the bee fabric! Perfect! I was also planning to sew a Maggie bunny for Easter but I'm not sure that I will have it ready in time for the weekend…
I love the hugged to death Maggie bunny. It reminds me of my childhood lion 'Jolly''. His face wore out too and we made him a new face. I still have the miniature dressing gown that my little nanny Boardman stitched for him. I'm not sure what happened to jolly though.

I hope that you manage to finish all the necessary things in time and if not I'm sure that they will be well-worth waiting for.
Happy Easter.

I'm not really a quilter yet, so no ideas on that front. Your embroidery looks great to me. Maggie Rabbit sure was well loved! perfect. :)
