Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

kcco - yo yos!! peter rabbit (luna grey)

Yo-Yos! Oh my goodness they are so much easier to make than I ever dreamed! Fun, too! I can see why people would make entire quilts with them now. Maybe someday I will, too. In the meantime I will settle on making them for accents on C's birthday dress.

A lovely package arrived at my door Monday afternoon. It was filled with some scrumptious yarn that is destined to become an Easter sweater for Little L. I hope to get started on it tonight.

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

In a house full of boys, I've never made yo-yos, but when you mentioned they were going to be accents on a dress, I thought...why not accents on a gift package? I might just have to give them a try. Thanks for hosting again this week.

Thank you! I can't take any credit for it. I asked Jackie and Luna Grey for a "Peter Rabbit blue" (but just a bit darker to help conceal stains) and she came up with the perfect shade!
I have always wanted to try making a yo yo, they look fun! Can't wait to see the finished dress!
