Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

Little L's vest was such a fast knit that I was unexpectedly left without another project to work on. I just can't seem to think without knitting in my hands so I had to come up with something simple and short straight away! After all, Little L's birthday is just around the corner and I have to start working on his birthday sweater. Thanks to some help from my friend Ginny and then some enabling from my friend Katrina, I ended up casting on a hat for myself. Mind you, this isn't one of the super warm ones I am hoping to knit but rather a fun, slouchy one to brighten up my days. I had a need desire to knit with my skein of honeycomb as soon as possible, too, so it was meant to be. I can't wait to have this finished and on my head. Perhaps I could even finish it tonight while watching the new episode of Downton Abbey - squeal!!

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

p.s. - Aren't all of the little toys made by my girls in the background so cute?! They were all made using this book that Nana and Grandpa gave them last Christmas.

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. Thanks! No, it was given to me a long time ago. I wish I could say where it came from!
Hello Nicole, thank you for hosting this. I love the colour of your hat. The name too, honeycomb, how wonderful.
