Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.
KCCO - QCT (again)

I am ever so happy to report that I found something I can do that isn't (currently) irritating my wrists - (machine) sewing! Yep, I have been bit by the sewing bug, again. I love it when that happens. This was just the motivation I needed to finally sew up those pants for Little L that I have been talking about for over a year now.

In case you are forgetful like me - they are another pair of quick change trousers (from here). They are sewing up just as fast as his first pair  (which still fit - I might add!). The owl fabric brings back happy memories of when Little L was first born as well as memories of one of my favorite outfits of his. I think these will be his Easter pants. It's only fair he gets something new to wear, too...right?

The girls Easter sweaters are finished as are their bunnies (Except for their pink cheeks and starched whiskers). I don't think I will get their Easter dresses finished (or even started for that matter), but that's okay. They can wear their dresses from last year and then I'll get around to this year's dresses eventually.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

those pants are adorable! I have fabric for 'big girl' jammie pants (for me! *lol!*) that I need to cut out and sew up! I am 3 grannies into my next crocheted afghan and I've just begun cutting apart vintage/thrifted sheets & pillow cases for new bedroom curtains and a new quilt for my bed.
Do you know where I could buy that fabric? I saw it a while ago and haven't been able to find it. My girls, 3 and 1 are IN LOVE with "The Owl and the Pussycat." We sing it every night and my three year old knows it by heart. She would be in HEAVEN if I made her something with it!!!

The pants are truly adorable!! :)

I bought the fabric a couple of years ago but I have seen it online from time to time. If you search for "Heather Ross Far Far Away II" it might come up. Actually I *think* I saw some on E-Bay just a day or two ago. HTH!!
Love those pants! I usually make a simple pattern I got from Amanda Soule's book but I really like the two contrasting fabrics- I'll have to check them out. I've been sewing more recently too. Working on a quilt for me and (this weeks post) a new handbag to carry my current WIP around with me.
After spending 5 months on a sweater that I finally completed last week, I've moved on to some instant gratification projects! This week I knit the Regina Hat, by Carina Spencer for myself!

Beautiful pants! Always love seeing the crafty wonders on this page!
Too funny... look over on my blog... I have been sewing quick change trousers like crazy lately too. Funny how we do that together each year by chance! I also used some heather ross and AMH fabrics. Yours look SO cute!
i have rediscovered my sewing machine this week as well! it's such a lovely break from everything else! gorgeous fabric!
Easter pants! What a great idea! Love the fabric!
Good old QCT, A great project for getting into a sewing groove! Hope your wrists feel better. Sewing takes much more forethought than knitting!
Do you have any tips on how to sew things for your girls that will last more than one season? I'm new to your blog, so I'm not sure of this is something you've already touched on. My daughter is only ten months old, but I'd love some ideas for the future!

Hi Margaret! I would love to help you if I can :) In regard to clothing lasting more than one season - do you mean the sizing or the wear?
I tend to sew things one size up with added length to get over a year out of them. After that K's dresses get passed on to C.
Lovely fabric on those pants! I really should practise with my machine more and get some bits made up for Anna - but I think I might need more hours in the day (I'm really not sure where you find the time to do so many wonderful things!)
