Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

Gasp - no pictures for today. My computer was attacked by a virus and won't work. At least I backed up my photographs on Saturday night. Phew!! Even though I am tryingto find the good in this, I admit I am a bit anxious. I mean my computer has been on it's last leg for months now but I can't afford a new one and the idea of going without... well that is just something I can not see working.

Anyways, enough sobbing. I am still working on Little L's birthday sweater. I added the sleeves over the weekend. That was a lot of trial and error. I couldn't quite wrap my head around the process and there was a key step in the process that didn't translate correctly (the pattern was originally in Norwegian). Thankfully Ravelry came to the rescue and I was able to get through it. I linked to one of the posts that helped me in my rav notes. Now I am on to the color work portion. After I had to rip it back once I came to the conclusion that color work is not something to be done around children.

I'm not sure where I will be with this broken computer of mine later this week so I may as well put up the last reminder now. If you have a spare minute each day please, please vote for Frontier Dreams for the top 25 creative moms. We are now at spot number ten and I would love to keep us there. That would make my week after all this computer silliness. Remember voting ends the 30th at 4pm and you can vote once every 24 hours.
Vote here.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

It's been awhile since I shared here, good luck with the contest, just added my vote, and I will keep the tip that color-work indeed needs a quite place to do.
I have been adding my vote! Good luck.

So sorry to hear of your computer troubles, such a pain! :(
You are actually at spot number 10, and I just voted again :) Sorry about your computer, not fun.
Spot 9 now!! I'm voting for you:-) So sorry to hear about your computer issues. We went through that recently...not fun at all. Hope everything gets back to normal soon! I so enjoy visiting your space here.
I've just had my computer formated from being so full on nasty stuff. I removed Windows altogether, and now it runs on Ubuntu and works like a charm! Hope you get yours back soon. I'm happy for your wonderful pictures, I would have cried if something deleted all mine!

I hope it's okay that I share my post even if it's in French? I've added a translation widget if you really want to know what's written. :)

Of course it's okay! Thank you for sharing :)
Oh nos!!! You can't not have a working computer! Good luck with that, for sure! That sweater is going to be adorable when it's finished, love the gray & red together... I still am not all that comfortable with color work, so I understand about ripping back & not being able to knit it with distractions. You should be proud of me, though, I started a sweater for Jorie's birthday-- and it doesn't even have to be finished until April! :)

Take care, sweetie. Hope to see you back with your gorgeous photos soon!
Yay! You are solidly in spot 9. I will keep voting for you.
Hi Nicole! Hope your computer is running smoothly again soon. I look forward to seeing some pictures of your W.I.P.
I've fallen behind in my blogging and blog reading and just saw your Keep Calm Craft On posts. I love this idea! If I remember, I'll try to join you next week. Hopefully your computer will be back up and running by then.
I hope your computer can be fixed! How lucky that you recently backed up your photos. Have a nice week and I'm going to vote for you now.
Voted! Gasp! So sorry about your computer! Makes me shutter...haven't backed up in a long time...ugh...adding to the to do list!
Just voted for the last time. That birdie blue came out of nowhere! The whole month it wasn't even in the top 10. and in the last 2 days it makes to #1 with almost 3,000 votes!? hmmmm... anyway, congrats on the top 10 ;o)
Good luck, with the contest and computer!
