Remember that secret birthday project I mentioned last week? The good news is: it's almost done. The bad news is: her birthday is May day (today!) so I will be a bit late (surprise, surprise). Our school has it's annual May Faire this weekend so my new goal is to finish it by then. You can see some rav details here.

Speaking of May Faire, the girls and I are working on a little project together for K's class booth at May Faire this year. Her class is hosting a 'fishing pond'. It sounds really sweet and I can't wait to see it all come together. We need a total of 200 wool felt fish for the booth and a lot of the families have been working diligently to meet that goal. Last I heard, we are about half way to our goal so I am hoping to have our family contribute as many as we can. K is really enjoying all the steps in making them and has even made some on her own. It's a great sewing exercise/lesson, too. Even C could do it.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

I want to knit a milo for my son so badly. I also smiled in delight to see your embroidery thread all organized. That was a project of mine this weekend and it was strangly sastifying.

Your kids are adorable! :) Love the happy color of the vest you are working up, perfect for spring/summer. :)
Such concentration from such wee little ones! Handwork is really wonderful for kids this age who are developing advanced motor skills, focused attention and self-confidence. What a wonderful job you are doing with your littles!
so sweet, those threads and eyes gazing and fish awaiting...and what is that fabulous pink+orange vest? adorable!

Happy May Day! I wish I had a project to share, but I have put everything away to focus on getting packed and ready to move. Those little fish look so cute and I love seeing your little ones working on them. I want to try knitting a milo for Riggs after we have moved and are settled in...maybe I will get one done for his first birthday :)
these look lovely! the fish look like a great idea - we are working on dreamcatchers at the moment for our third grade native american block (we are using our own bent branches for the frames and they are looking great),

The fish look so cute... I can only imagine how long it has taken everyone to make that many! A true team effort.
We have our May Faire on the 12th, but it is also my best friends wedding that evening I am going to try to make it to both :) I think I linked up with you for KCCO, but I am new to this whole blog thing so I am not sure if it worked or not.
