Selfish Mama

I try to rarely put Baby L down. I admit I am selfish. This baby time is just so fleeting and I fear if I look away for just a moment it will be gone. So with that in mind, Baby L is usually in my arms, a sling,(or pouch or ergo) or in the arms of someone else. The girls, especially, are always eager to hold him. But every now and then I let go a bit and he gets some time to swing in his baby hammock, and sometimes even take a cat nap, which he truly seems to enjoy.

Happy weekend, friends!

awwwwwwwww yep, you gotta enjoy it because it does go by fast...
What gorgeous little feet. I almost want to blow raspberries on them via the computer screen. Ginger's feet have toughened into toddler feet now:)

I joke that Naia's head is my tripod because she is always in my arms or in the ergo. But now that she is crawling she woggles to be put down already :( Too much fun to be had chasing big brother. Thank goodness I have her tucked safely in my arms all night long. Savor it mama!

he's so cute....and you are right, growing way too fast!! hold him close mama, i still hold xi whenever i can! :) xoxoxo
My youngest is almost 15 months and we still rarely put him down. Okay, that's not entirely true. But there's an awful lot of holding that still happens (with the almost three year old, too!). All of our kids have been "in arms" babies. They're are happy there, we are happy with them there. That's how it should be. (:

That said, what an adorable sleeping baby in a hammock! Ack! Melts my heart. (:
When my daughter was a babe it was hard to put her down. Now at almost 6 it is STILL hard to put her down. So I totally get what you mean. People used to say I was spoiling her and I would always tell them that I gladly did.

They're too sweet not to hold. Hold on to him while you can, Mama!
Aaaah, he looks so happy (of course, with toes like that, how can you not be??? ;-). I wish I could join him in there!!
He's so cute, I love how the rainbow is everywhere at your home, gives it a magic touch, for me.

Live it up. These days will never return.
Oh yes, Nicole. Selfish, if that's what it is, I am very guilty. I know that I don't like being far from any of them (1 through 5 years), though they can handle it. In fact, my oldest has been no more than half a day apart from me once since he was born. (Does that make sense)? My third babe, who is now 1, was less in the sling for he was a big fella and my body wasn't as strong so my neck hurt so much. Often, it radiated into my scalp and I'd get horrible headaches for days at a time until I realized it was from my sling. So he was more immersed in life with me at an arm's reach away. I felt guilty for awhile, but then realized he was so engaged with the other two, and now I see that has it's benefits. Even for a selfish mama like me:)
