Everyday Life

I thought I would share a glimpse into some of our everyday life. Some of it's a bit crazy, some of it's a bit mundane but nevertheless it's ours and we love every minute of it.

Peas

Wheat

Not all of our four legged creatures get along. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to come across that angry Geisha Girl face in a dark alley!

Yep, more fennel

No, you're not seeing things : C has a bathing suit on around her waist... wishful thinking, I believe

Picnic dinner (homemade) pizza night (the mini pizza is mine as I can no longer partake in the cheese pizza goodness, I make mine with cashew cheese and apple sage seitan. More on the food struggles later.)

It's been a good week of fully submerging ourselves into our family summertime rhythm. We have really been enjoying it, and so far it works. I can't say the same for my computer/internet rhythm. Kevin's work computer is having quite a few issues right now. I actually can't see this post as I can not view my blog so I am hoping it all came out ok. That means I can't respond at the moment, either, but I promise I will as soon as I can (I am getting the e-mail notifications of your comments, still). The people that fix Kevin's computer are on vacation, go figure, but hopefully it will all be worked out soon. In the meantime I am going to just keep at it until it no longer lets me.

So much goodness here! The post is perfect...even without your ability to view/edit it (hope that get's resolved soon). But poor doggy! We begin our mornings picking peas (at last)...so fun! I wonder if my boy will ever fall asleep in his car seat that way again? Probably not - sleep fears him! ;-)
Lovely pictures :) I got a giggle when I saw the swimsuit-around-the-waist photo, as my daughter does the same thing with her swimsuit! And she also loves fennel - as do I. Something about those feathery fronds is especially attractive to little hands, I think!

Sorry to hear you have food sensitivities - I have them too, in a serious way (sulfites! argh, they are sneakily in everything!!), so I feel for you. It's often hard to have to eat differently than the rest of the family, but I've found what works for me and how to make it yummy, which is key! I hope you find a good balance soon that allows for many tasty recipes~ take care ~
this is such a lovely post, thank you for sharing these wonderful glimpses into your everyday world. hugs Laura x
Nicole...Your summer seems so lovely! I love your happy, smiling, loving children's faces ~ delightful!!! And picnics are just about the most favoured thing around here, too...and we needn't go further than the porch for them. Love that!

Love your sweet post. How different your life is with the two girls and a baby. Mine, with a big girl (12), four boys (10, 8, 6 and 4) and a little girl (2 today), our household is anything but quiet and peaceful! And it isn't the animals who are quarreling!
Tu vida cotidiana es muy bella. Todo se ve relajado y en paz.

Saludos desde Chile.

Your daily life is very beautiful. Everything looks relaxed and at peace.

Greetings from Chile.
Your post turned out beautifully! I love these everyday pics. What a sweet life you have. :-)
Thanks for sharing, it's lovely.
The cat is scary.
Your girls and boy are so cute.
Love this post. All of my favorite memories and times are in the everyday moments and there is always a treasure awaiting to be noticed.
Beautiful post, I love the treasures everyday life brings with it.
Love your photos! So cute. All the felted stones look great!! I have to hide all my good wool or it would all be felted. :)

We usually do pizza picnic night in the winter with homemade pizza and a fire. Pizza looks yummy! Would love your recipe for cashew cheese. We do lots of raw food and I love experimenting. Oh and have you tried making almond milk? Very easy to make. x

i have to ask. where do you get those beige hats for the little one? Michigan winters are cruel so we need some of those. they look cozy. ^_^

They are made by Ruskovilla. I got them from my friend when she had her Waldorf Inspired store. C lived in them and now L is doing the same :)
Beautiful post, beautiful children and the pizza looks great too! :)
Lovely pictures!

That sweet little family of yours is making me broody for more of my own.
Everyday life are typically my favorite kind of posts! And I don't think there is ever anything mundane about raising children ;-) I had to laugh at the picture of Geisha Girl. I used to have a torti just like her and she always did look quite scary when she hissed, but she wasn't all talk! Sorry to hear of your sensitivities. I am in a similar boat...no gluten, dairy or sugar. It has been a couple of months now and I am definitely feeling better, but I am not sure if I will ever be able to tolerate those things again. I really, really miss cheese!
Love this post! Everyday life is a wonderful subject, full of beauty... Thank you for sharing!
Such a beautiful glimpse into your life. The pictures are truly breathtaking. I adore the wooden horse, I really want it! lol
