I hope you don't mind but I feel the need to share some of little L's baby knits. I love knitting for babies as all the projects are just about instant gratification.
I have to add, if you are a knitter and have not joined Ravelry, please do! It is such a wonderful resource. You'll notice I usually link my knitting to my rav page. I tend to keep better notes there on how I knit my project. I would say that about 90% of my patterns come from there and almost all of them are free. Not to mention the fact that it helps me organize what I am working on and it's just fun to see what I have accomplished. I don't know what I would do without it! Now back to the baby knitting:
First up is something completely unnecessary but yet I had to knit; a toy for him (rav notes here). I used the rainbow teether pattern from Petite Purls. I made the rings shorter than the pattern said to so I could add more colors/rings. I only wish I knit them in I-Cord instead of the way the pattern was written to make them more polished looking. The girls were quite excited that I used the last bits of leftover yarn from their rainbow poncho and gnome hat, so now all three of them have something from the same yarn.
His aviatrix hat (rav notes here). I had been looking for an excuse to try this pattern and I finally had one. I made it to match some longies I knit for him. It's still a tiny bit big, as you can see, but he'll just keep growing into it.
For those first few days of long nails I knit these mini mittens (rav notes here). Unfortunately they were so mini that he never fit into them.
Thankfully, I also knit him bigger mittens (rav notes here) with a sweet snowflake design on them (he is my winter baby after all!). I still need to get some pictures of him in these.
Pebble vest (rav notes here) This was so very tiny. It fit him for a few weeks though. I already knit the next size up because I loved it so much on him.
Winter Blanket (rav notes here) You saw this in the last couple of posts as it is my favorite blanket to use, but I still had to mention it. I am so, so happy I did this bind off on a purl row, it allowed it to stay in the pattern quite nicely.
Ok, I think that's enough for now. Baby knits are so small and fast you can't help but knit quite a few of them. Round two coming soon!

love to you, beautiful mama:)
Were you talking about knitting? Sorry, hard to concentrate with that BEAUTIFUL baby boy looking at me. I have one of those rainbow teethers for Naia too, but since I don't know how to knit (yet) I bought mine from Palumba :)
Very lucky little light of a aboy!
Nicole,
Your knitting is amazing - but even more incredible is that beautiful baby boy! Wow...
What a blessing.
Warm wishes, Tonya

I love the winter blanket, you've inspired me to cast on and knit it!
Beautiful sweet baby knits! I so love the combination of blue and green- and your baby looks so sweet in his blue hat and pants, and green cardi.
<3
So beautiful! I love that green sweater on your sweet babe -- what is it? :)
oh I could just eat him up!
you've been hard at work! I'm sure you've enjoyed every minute--I think the best thing about knitting baby things with a baby in mind is how you think and dream about them much of the time you're knitting for them.
I've made the aviatrix hat for a babe too, such a cute pattern.
I love the vest too. Well, I love everything!
Everything is so beautiful, Nicole! And I could just eat him up, he's so cute! Love the vest and the longies and matching hat are adorable.
lol I agree with 'boatbaby' - he's beautiful... *nods head lots*
enjoy. and enjoy creating for your little Creation. :)
xo
Love all of them, so cute.
Wonderful, wonderful! Lovely baby, lovely knitting, and lovely to read your notes and thoughts, too.
Best wishes!
Absolutely beautiful. Little babies in hand knits are so cuddly.
I don't know if anything is sweeter than the Pebble vest. I almost fall off my chair every time I see one. I can't part with the one I made for my now two-year old, and want to make one for every pregnant woman I know. The colour you chose is perfect. And that hat! And those mitts! Uh, oh, I'm starting to feel the urge to have another baby...
oh man, sooooo adorable! and the knits are pretty great too! :) i LOVE everything, those snowflake mitts and the vest are my faves... you are really putting the baby bug in my brain with all of this sweetness ;) and i am pretty sure the pebble vest is the best thing I have knit up for my boy. he is 3 1/2 and i am still planning another one. need to do some math... xo
I just love your baby knits! The little hat and mittens are gorgeous. BEAUTIFUL! The model is also precious!:-)
So beautiful! I have just started knitting and can't wait till I can make some clothes for my children.
The knitting is wonderful, but baby is more wonderful, and so are you.
I miss you! Sending lots of love.. XOXOXO
really lovely things!
Enough? It's never enough! These photos are making me "ooooohhh!" out loud! You do such amazing and inspiring work for your sweet little ones.
I think these snapshots made my ovaries tickle a little. Thank you for sharing these most precious moments of your day with us...
Your knitting and your babe are gorgeous!
I don't think you could find more precious things to photograph, a sweet baby and soft warm mama made knits!
I LOVE that little baby vest! your little one is such a beauty!
Absolutely precious!! Both your little one and your knits are so lovely I can't help but feel stirrings. Thanks for sharing.
Awww, thanks everyone! I just can't seem to put him in anything but knits so far :) The green cardigan he is wearing in the aviatrix pic was my first attempt at knitting a cardigan. I made it when I was pregnant with C. It has a lot of flaws but we still love it.
Round two next week!
Beautiful! I love th snowflake mittens and the little vest. What a lucky babe.
