Crafting On

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two, post it on your blog, on Instagram #craftingon and/or Flickr and then share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

Hey there! This week's crafting on project isn't exactly crafting (again) but doing some work on our home. I love the brick in our kitchen but it consists of two out of the three walls in our kitchen and it makes it extremely dark, especially in the winter (for reference I had to really brighten up that first photo, the brick was a lot darker than it looks). I was thinking of whitewashing it but in the end I just decided to paint it. I did two coats of primer so far and it already looks so much brighter!

In the future I plan on replacing the black farmhouse sink with a white one as well as paint the cabinets but this simple paint job is all that our budget can handle for now.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

Love seeing what you are doing in your beautiful home. Thank you.
What a difference that makes! You must be so happy with it. My kitchen needs SO MUCH HELP but there really isn't any quick and inexpensive fix that can help it...it kinda just needs a whole overhaul.

So it won't get one! ha!
Nicole it looks amazing! Already, your kitchen is beautiful but this is going to brighten up so much! I can't wait to one day work on our kitchen, too.. but that pesky budget. :)
