Crafting On

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two, post it on your blog, on Instagram #craftingon and/or Flickr and then share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.
Sorry for my late post. The time change did me in. Anyways, after a 7 year hiatus I am back to work on this beautiful cross stitch. We learned/reviewed cross stitching at my latest CCHM (Confraternity of Catholic Homeschool Mothers) meeting and I fell back in love with it.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

I have this same sampler and I love it so much, and its nearly done! I really love cross stitching too, I just hardly ever pick it up because I love knitting more. :) But I do want to finish this sampler and have it framed over Philippa's bed. Happy stitching!

I am with you on the loving knitting more but also I need daylight to do cross stitching. My eyes can't see the threads otherwise. Hard to do with little ones ;)
I've got that one too I need to get back on. Yes, I recently started back to cross stitching, after a 15 year span and I've found my eyes aren't what they are used to. I used to do 1 over 1 on 32 count...now I can do 1 over 2 on 28 count easier. Have you checked out StitchingSocial Youtube yet? They are sisters from Canada and I haven't heard them say bad words or anything. I've been binge watching them. They've obviously got a much bigger budget than I do, but very enjoyable to watch. Thought you would enjoy as well.

Oh my goodness, yes my eyes can't handle it. I am remembering why I put it down in the first place.I see, to do better in the daylight but I never have the time then! I haven't heard of Stitching Social. I'll check them out. Thanks for the recommendation.
Where is this sampler from? It is lovely!
