Crafting On

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two, post it on your blog, on Instagram #craftingon and/or Flickr and then share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

Hey, what do you know?? I am actually crocheting! Well, trying to at least. Baby F's Woodlands Bear Hat kit from Stitch and Story has crocheted details so it is making me face my fear of crochet.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

Oh, crochet! I try every once in a while, but to me it's so much more complicated than knitting. But I keep trying...

me too! Or maybe it is my knitting brain that can't grasp the one hook/needle process. Everyone tells me crochet is easier but I beg to differ!

I had trouble learning to crochet after many years of knitting. I tried several times, before finally watching a youtube video about how to make granny squares and some how it finally clicked. The hardest part for me was learning how to hold the hook and yarn and then trying to regulate tension. Now I can do both, while still a novice at crochet (about four years), sometimes I prefer to crochet. I am a quicker crocheter than knitter.
