Crafting On

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two, post it on your blog, on Instagram #craftingon and/or Flickr and then share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.
crafting on...sort of
Well, isn't this embarrassing - I forgot to take my Crafting On photo today. 馃檲 Oops! It has been a crazy, crazy day but a beautiful one full of visits from two sets of friends and the one visit will last the whole week. My heart is full!

But back to Crafting On, I am still working on C's Camilla sweater. I am to the point of knitting the sleeves and I want to avoid the laddering that comes with using double pointed needles on garter stitch. Someone told me of some small circular needles you can get for tiny sleeves but I don't remember what they were called - anyone happen to know?

What are you working on? Happy creating!

I searched for a circular sock needle and bought a 20cm one by ADDI, bit weird to knit with. The needle part is 4.5cm long so takes a bit to get used to it! Hope this helps.
I use knit picks short interchangeable needles for hats and sleeves. Not as nice as a set of full length needles because I balance them by resting my hands on the ends of the needles, but much less frustrating for me than DPNs. They are also reasonably priced.
You could knit it with the magic loop.

I REALLY love using small circular needles! I am a FIRST time sleeve knitter..and was having trouble with DPN's..I switched to majic loop, but found that rearranging the work every time I got to the end of the row was a hassle...I ordered short circulars..and I am flying through them now! Hope you give them a try ..I love your posts. Congratulations on all your gorgeous work!
Or just every time you finish one double pointed needle, take 2+ stitches from the next needle instead of using your empty needle right away. I have 12" circulars that I use as well that I bought off eBay
