Crafting On

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two, post it on your blog, on Instagram #craftingon and/or Flickr and then share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

I'm taking a break from all the baby knitting to focus on my own baby for a bit. Well, and then there is Christmas I have to think about. Oh boy! The project above will hopefully turn into a cute little sweater, that is if I can get my math and the patterns correct. I am knitting the Fisherman's Pullover pattern but omitting the garter panel on the front so that I can incorporate an adorable reindeer colorwork chart I found (I read bad reviews on the sweater it went with).

What are you working on? Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post, Instagram #craftingon or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join Crafting On can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the Crafting On posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Oh that's a clever idea, if it's stocking stitch colour work a garter panel might have been intended to be a little wider so you might need to add a couple of stitches either side or just choose something with a nice amount of ease. I'm in denial about Christmas - I have so many plans and I'm trying to be realistic and still ending up wanting to make all the things - I think I'm going to do a round of socks for the kids, I just need to stealth measure their feet!
I wish I was as crafty as you are. I used to crochet just a simple stitch and I have never knit. I would love to make my own sweaters.
Beautiful start. I always love your color choices :)
Looks like you'll be combining the best of both worlds with that sweater!
