Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two, post i on your blog, on Instagram #craftingon and/or Flickr and then share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

KCCO

I cast on another Cascade sweater. The one I knit for Little L so many years ago didn't last to pass down to Baby F. That is okay - it gave me an excuse to use some of dear Ginny's beautiful yarn. Don't you love my stitch markers? I was stuck under a sleeping baby so I had to use whatever I had nearby.

What are you working on? Happy creating!

Are they loom bands? i have been using loom bands as stitch markers since the craze started a couple of years ago - there are so many around the place, you have to use them for something now the craze has passed! Saying that my daughters made a long skipping elastic with them in the end, so we don't have many spare now. Perhaps I need to ask for some beautiful stitch markers for Christmas as right now I am using all my rings, including my wedding ring to mark various points in my several knitting projects!! I am sure it will be beautiful :-)

no - they do look like them now that you mention it, though! They are C's hair ties :D
Yay for loom bands, I've been known to do something similar myself!!
That yarn is gorgeous - I love the color! I too use whatever I have on hand as stitch markers - anything to keep the knitting going :)
Ginny does the most beautiful yarn, doesn't she? I plan on getting some one of these days.
Thanks again for hosting this link up!

Sarah
that is a super cute sweater pattern!
Beautiful photo!
Oh that ornament is so lovely! I've been saving up my pennies to buy a scroll saw and oh it makes me yearn to make things like that even more!

Thank you for putting yourself out there every week. I feel as though I get a sneak peak into what it would be like to visit with a kindred spirit each time you post, as a fellow crafter/military wife with littles at home.

Oh thank you <3 Your comment really got to my heart!

oh but I can't take credit for the ornament. It was bought years ago. :D
things like that ornament are on my list of things I'd make/do in my imaginary life where I have lots of time for things like that. :) Like spinning my own yarn, and weaving my own cloth.

sending love,
m
