Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

KCCO ?

A few weeks ago I shared this shawl-cowl hybrid pattern on the facebook page asking you which color (from my stash) I should use for it - Red or green. Well, as you can see, I followed the majority vote and went with green. Although I really like the idea of knitting a second one in red, too. We'll see how this one comes out first. I've been working on it a stitch at a time here and there and am about halfway through. But now it's time to start my knitting projects for C's birthday next month so my progress will probably slow down for a bit. I am still deciding what sweater to make her this year and would love your suggestions! In the meantime I have a smaller project I am working on for her that I will share next week.

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

Just finished a pair of fingerless mitts. Easy project, but great fun to wear!
Such a lovely colour you are knitting with! I'm totally into greens too at the moment - it's just the season for it don't you think? :-)
I also really like the texture of your cowl!
That is just a gorgeous pattern, and I thing the color that was chosen is perfect. It's the kind of thing you get a lot of use from!
Intriguing texture, lovely color. Looking forward to seeing this as it evolves.
I love the pattern, and that beautiful yarn. One of my favorite colors. : )
A lovely shade of green!!
Child's library cardigan by Stefanie Japel has been my daughter's favorite for two years now!
i love that colorway, very good choice! ok, so i love a nice simple pattern. Pickles has great patterns, my favorite is their simple sweater pattern, i love the way it looks.
I saw this fabric in one of the shops I follow on instagram and it totally made me think of you and your love for sharks.. https://instagram.com/p/ztVrqIyDDk/?modal=true
Looks good! Sometimes I find it necessary to take a long time making things, when I'm stressed out it can really help to work on a few rows on an ongoing sort of project. Not all knitting projects should have a deadline, right? :)

I'd like to try this pattern, I think it's gorgeous and seems like fun too (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bloomsbury-kids), but since it's aran/worsted weight it might be a bit warm for your spring/summer so maybe you could knit one of Lene Holme Samsoe's patterns for kids in a lighter weight yarn, even cotton or a cotton-wool blend. This one (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blde-blade), this one (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blgegang) and this here (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pigernes-priktrje) are all lovely. I have knitted her patterns before and they are well written.
It's a very beautiful green! I'll have to go and look up that pattern :)
It's beautiful and now I'm off to see this pattern :)
Really love the Bloomsbury Kids pattern that was suggested by Sigurlaug! Such a lovely sweater and the back is gorgeous!
