Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

KCCO - a birthday sweater
I am chomping at the bit to start on the cowl that I posted about on fb over the weekend (and thanks to you, I have now chosen a color, too!), but I do need to get going on Little L's birthday gifts so I have set the cowl aside for now.

I am knitting him this sweater for his fourth birthday. Since that pattern only goes up to 18-24 months, I am modifying it to hopefully fit. Right now it's looking a bit big but that's usually how it goes when I modify pattern sizing. The one area I am concerned with is the color work at the bottom. I hope the trees don't look too small on an upsized sweater!

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post, instagram or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

What beautiful yarn. I'm impressed by anyone who can knit -- let alone modify -- a sweater!
OOOh nice. I popped over to see the trees, because I'm curious like that...I think they will look just fine on a bigger sweater - there will just be more of them. Looks great so far!
I love the color you choose. Trust me, too big is better than too small. My daughter is four too and at this age doesn't grow quite as fast. He should be able to use it for quite a while.
Love that colour Nicole!
What an adorable pattern. For some reason I didn't realize that Little L and Bracken were so close in age. Bracken turned four in October. Wish we were closer and could get the boys together to play. :)

Oh me too!!! Little L still has something to send Brackens way ;)
beautiful blue, I would like to start some new projects but I'm trying to finish a sweater first. I know that feeling though.
4th birthday!? I can't believe it! We have a lively little 4 yo boy here... :) But he'll be 5 in 3 months... *sniff*

Where does the time go?!
Love the colors in that yarn and the sweater is adorable. My son is 4.5 now.
I still haven't attempted to knit clothing for any of my kids.
Lovely color!!
Your yarn is so yummy!
