Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. I am now blocking my Jan Brett hat. I didn't knit it as long as the pattern says to but instead knit it about as long as my Jane hat that that I love so much. Of course now I am thinking perhaps I should have stuck with the pattern. I will just check it when it is dry and go from there.

In other news, you can now link up your instagram images to KCCO as well as blog posts and flickr photos. I don't have an instagram account (as I don't have one of those new fangled phones you need for it) but that still seems pretty exciting to me!

Beautiful hat! I love the colors. Jan Brett was one off my favorite illustrators growing up and I'm looking forward to reading her books to my daughter in the coming years. Thanks for sharing!

That is such a beautiful hat! I love the colour combination. I was enjoying the "action shots" of the kids' hats on the dog-sledding post. They make me want to go through all of y Jan Brett books to see what else is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing.

I have dreams of writing a book of knitting patterns based on Jan Brett's beautiful illustrations, they're so detailed. She must really know her knitting!

Beautiful! I love the colours you chose.

If you would like an instagram account, you don't actually need a phone for it anymore. You can make an account online, and there are a few uploading services you can use from your computer. I used (and sometimes still do if I want to share photos I didn't take on my phone) gramblr, but I know several people who don't like that one. I love your KCCO posts, and may finally link up mine since I always forget to share on flickr!
