Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

Although I should be finishing up K's birthday dress, I am working on some Michaelmas preparations. It is just around the corner! I even have a special Michaelmas knitting pattern to share with all of you. I just need to get some photographs taken and then I'll post all the details.

And get this - I have been crocheting! Yep, the girl who never could seem to understand the art of using a hook finally found the perfect teacher to guide me through it (Thank you, Steph!) I am nearly finished with the crocheted trim on my folilum scarf that has been sitting in my WIP basket since last autumn. I can't wait to wear it!!

And while we are on the topic - I will be hosting an incredible giveaway this week perfect for Michaelmas! Trust me, you won't want to miss it!

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

This will be a lovely decoration! We are preparing for Michaelmas too - it's such an important celebration for the children. They already started playing dragon and knight - last year this lasted till Christmas (then the Christmas story took over...). I'm looking forward to the knitting pattern! Lena x
Sounds interesting! I was the same way with knitting as you and the crochet. But one day,it just came and I'm so glad it did! Looking forward to your pattern!
Your Michaelmas preparations are inspiring! We decorated the Nature Table with our knight and dragon yesterday. I would love to make a window transparency - I haven't made one in a long time. I can't wait to see what the knitting pattern is - I hope it has to do with all of those wee spikes...? : ) Oh, and congratulations on crocheting! I am determined to learn as well. I don't want to do much with it (I love knitting!) but want to know enough to do some really basic things and teach the children a bit. The hook mystifies me, too. : )
My daughter would love the dragon design. Did you create that freehand? Thanks for sharing. :)

I found an image online that I really liked and tried to draw it. It's not that great but it's my first try :)
I started Michaelmas crafting last night too!
I'm intrigued by the dragon silhouette...need to pull out the black poster board and tissue paper!
Oh! I love the look of those Michaelmas preparations! The transparency is a great idea! And crochet? Wow! I'm impressed! I know what you are talking about, as much as I love knitting, I cannot figure out crochet!
Your Michaelmas transparency looks great, I love paper cutting! Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out! :)
Looks like you will have a lovely Michaelmas celebration :)
