Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

Martinmas is sneaking up on me faster than I expected! K's Saint Martin school play is the Friday before and I was hoping to have her wear her new Martinmas sweater for it. Seeing that I only have
about ten days til then, all usual activities will have to be put on hold so I can just knit, knit, knit! Once Martinmas passes I am hoping to pick my scarf knitting back up and maybe even start a sweater for myself, too. Then again there are Christmas knits to think about...

What are you working on? Happy creating!!

p.s - Don't forget the Knecht Ruprecht Waldorf walnut baby doll giveaway ends Wednesday! Enter for your chance to win here.

This is a beautiful colour, I can't wait to see it finished!
Oh I love that colour! So beautiful and rich. I hope you get it knitted in time :)
I am so inspired by that image. There's something about it that I just adore.

Gonna go cast on a sweater for my little baby due in December, I think :)
Beautiful! I love it that we both have one knit in that color. xoxo
I adore your sweater. The color is perfect!
This sweater is coming along beautifully!
I love the color.
I love that color. Perfect year-round! I'm sure you'll make your deadline. :)

I'm still on that baby gift. I had to set it aside for a little while - my joints just couldn't do packing and knitting. I hope to get more done tonight at knit night though. My niece still hasn't arrived yet - 40 weeks, 6 days today - so the joke right now is she's waiting for her presents. *gulp*

Turns out we're going to have to DITY, so the hunt for a U-Haul and boxes has begun. Two weeks tomorrow until we get keys, so I hope I can hold up to it if I just do a few boxes a day until then. I loved your post about noticing the things around you and the blessing of the extra month. I felt the same way when we were leaving Okinawa last year. I'd have loved another month, but I think my hubby would've gone crazy. LOL
I'm currently trying to wrap my head around a Martinmas play without enough people! Our dear friends, who were supposed to put on the play with us, had to move suddenly. But I have a very dear second grade boy who's heart is set on being St. Martin, so work something out I must!

Knitting...goodness...baby soakers, baby longies, booties, little hats, a little sweater, more soakers ;) Very soon I'm going to have to switch to knitting birthday sweaters for my three winter babies, if I'm to have any hope of getting them done in time!
I bought the pattern! Now to afford the yarn.....I love that color!
I'm dying to learn how to knit! My mom taught me how to crochet, but I don't even know where to start with knitting. Do you have any recommendations for teaching resources? Where did you learn?
that yarn is gorgeous! I love variegated yarn like that for sweaters, just makes them look that little more special and handmade some how
I truly admire all of the knitting projects that you have done. I wish I was more talented with yarn!
Thanks so much for hosting, the ideas are always fantastic!
xo
