Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.
KCCO - Martinmas #2 KCCO - Martinmas sweater

My friend Katherine's beautiful Martinmas sweater pattern was released today! Plenty of time to knit one up before Martinmas is upon us. You can check it out here. She even has a giveaway for the pattern going on right now on her blog!

I am nearly finished with the blue/green Martinmas sweater I have been working on. All that is left is to sew on the buttons (Wooly Moss Roots, of course) and block it. Although I initially planned on giving it to K, I decided to give it to C instead. K could have worn it this year but then would have outgrown it shortly after. I prefer to make my knits a little bit on the bigger side so that they can get more than one year out of them (hopefully). So I am now casting on another Martinmas sweater in the next size up for K. The beautiful golden yellow yarn you see photographed above is the same yarn Katherine used for her original Martinmas. It's absolutely gorgeous and looks so great with K's golden hair.

I finished up the two pumpkin hats before the end of the week but alas, I do not have any photos to prove it. One was for C, as I mentioned, but the other was for K's dear friend that shared his birthday celebration with K over the weekend. I'll be back with photos from that. It was such an amazing day!

What are you working on? Happy creating!!

p.s - Last day to enter the Hilitos knitted bunny giveaway. Come back later this week for another fun giveaway!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

what a gorgeous sweater!
You must be a quick knitter, there is no way I could knit a cardigan in time for Martinmas :)
I'm so excited to see photos of the finished sweater!!!
That color is so invinting!

Please go check my daughter's first dress and use the translation widget for the details :D I'm so proud of her!
that yellow!!!
I love that color! Congratulations to your friend on her pattern release - I will head to Ravelry next to check it out.

I'm not blogging today as the projects I've completed and am working on are a baby gift for my sister - I'll blog them next week, after she's received them, so I don't ruin the surprise. But I finished the burp cloth and wash cloth so far, and tonight I'll be working on the Breezy Baby Hat. I hope to be able to ship them in the next couple of days - the baby is due tomorrow, but this is her first, so I'm telling myself "41 weeks is average". LOL They are very simple, but there are pics in my Rav projects if you want to see. :)

Do you have any further info on your move? We got word ours will be mid-Nov, but were concerned that would be delayed with the shutdown closing TMO, etc. For now, it's a go - I hope yours is getting situated too!

Oh I'll have to check them out on Rav! Such sweet gifts <3

Yeah, our orders were cancelled due to the shutdown. We were set for October 28th (Kevin is even on leave for the move that isn't currently happening) but now we have to wait and see what they give us. Maybe we'll find out more when Kevin goes back to work November 2nd. I am assuming our orders will be for sometime in late November.
Oh no! I'm so sorry you were thrown off that way. Ours is just local so it's not as big of a deal - although there's now no funding for TMO to do the pack up for us, so we may be DITY moving. I better start packing this weekend if that's the case. Bleh.... We should know today - the lady told hubby yesterday to call her daily, because it's a day to day thing whether she has funding or not. EEK.

I hope you get good news on the 2nd - I'll be thinking of you guys! I bet the kids are glad Kevin is on leave though, either way. :)
Gorgeous colour! You're a fast knitter! I've been knitting on the 'In threes cardigan' for ages!
What a beautiful sweater pattern! Can't wait to see the finished product(s). I love both colors of yarn you picked, you are so good at picking colors!
Linked up with a watercolor leaf garland that my daughter I made this week!
What a pretty color! That sweater pattern looks awesome . . . I literally just started knitting, I hope that I can try my hand at something like that before too long!
Ooo that yellow and those buttons!
I would love this so much!

It is not, unfortunately. The pattern maker left online life :(
