Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

Ah yes, this is the life for me: nights spent knitting outside until neither the glow of the campfire nor the moon could shed light on my work. Thanks to those fun, late nights I am now about 90% done with the body on my cardigan. I am just about to start the leaf motifs. Who knows, maybe I'll finish it before 2015 after all! I am so very happy with my yarn choice for this project. It's hard to see in the photograph above but the colorway (called "moss") has the most stunning variegation. It reminds me so much of all the shades of green we see here in Portland. I keep changing my mind on what to call this sweater but each name it is dubbed always has something to do with Oregon.

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

 p.s. Brambleberry yarns is having a moving sale! Use the code MOVINGSALE at checkout to receive 25% off your entire order from now until midnight May 30, 2013. {plus shipping is free for orders over $100.} The code is good for use at both the website and Etsy. Go check it out and get some of my favorite yarn before it's all gone! I snagged some worsted yarn in the mushroom colorway to knit up a sweater for Little L this fall.

Love the pattern you are using. Knitting outside in the evenings sounds wonderful, we have too many midges here to do that!
I'm always drawn to green. I bought enough Donegal tweed in a beautiful variegated green YEARS ago with the intent of making a sweater for myself...but as the time has gone by, it has found its way into baby cardigans and so on so I only have a skein or two left! :) Green works in every season. That green is so earthy and soft...love it!
How lovely to knit by the fire, indoors or out!
Looks lovely!
Your yarn looks lovely. I have been embroidering outside and it is so nice to create something in the fresh air. Too chilly tho' once the sun starts to go down!
Lovely color of green. Nice to be able to knit by the campfire!
We really need to create some comfy seating near our campfire so I can do the same...
That looks like a great pattern! Love the green. It's perfect.
So jealous of your place to knit!! Amazing shade of green.

Nicole,
I LOVE that picture. The moss green of your sweater is one of my very favorite colors. :)

Love,
Taryn
