Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

KCCO - My project

KCCO - My project

I picked up a quick knit to brighten up those rainy days that will be coming back before we know it. Don't you just love the rainbow effect of Noro yarn? I think this may end up being a birthday gift for K. I actually had every intention of knitting a sweater for C out of this yarn (similar to this one) but she is very sensitive and I know she would deem this yarn 'too scratchy' for her taste.

KCCO - K's project

K is on the homestretch of her very special project. She tells everyone and anyone about this project of hers. You should hear the excitement in her voice and the sparkle in her eyes as she talks about it. Pure childhood magic, let me tell you!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress (or finished works) please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Don't forget that there is now a KCCO Flickr group for you to share your crafting photos at anytime.

Please remember to link back here so that others who may want to join KCCO can find us.

It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. We all love feedback so if you have a moment please leave a comment on some of the KCCO posts you may visit. I know from my own experience just how much your comments really motivate me! Now please share and inspire us all!

thank you for hosting this again. Rebe is also busy sewing this week :-)
Every week I look forward to KCCO. It just makes me happy to know that so many others find crafting a calming experience. Even when I trying something new (like this week) I'd rather be doing this than most anything else! Thanks for bringing up together (love the noro btw!)

Thank you! That makes me so happy that you enjoy it so much! :)
Kureyon is my favorite yarn!
I'm newish (I joined last week) to KCCO, and I am so happy to have found you!
Such inspiration all around :)
Cool knitting project! My daughter is busily crafting a project too. Sweet how they get just as excited as us.
Mine this week is a pair of bloomer shorts for sleeping in for me: http://rowanandoak.com/rowan-oak/2012/07/and-some...

Noro is my very favorite yarn! It almost seems softer after it's knitted. The colors are just brilliantly blended.
Oooh, pretty! I love noro, but it is a little on the scratchy side. I've made that shirt (or one like it) for Jenny and really enjoyed it...and she wore it forever! Probably time for a new one though...maybe I'll jump on with the noro! Oh, and I wanted to let you know that the last few times I have tried commenting here, it hasn't shown up! Hopefully it was just a fluke, but know I have been reading and loving what you have been sharing <3

I know :( Sorry about the commenting issues... I am hoping it is fixed now.
I am hoping this shirt comes out better than the one I made for C last year. It was too smalla nd she wore it maybe 3 times.
Hi there! I'm Mackenzie's sister, linking up for the first time via her recommendation :) I love your yarn colors! And it's nice to see someone else using circular needles ... when Mackenzie first gave me a pair, I assumed they were like training wheels for knitting ;) Hope you're having a beautiful day!

Welcome!! I adore your sister :) Training wheels for knitting - never thought of them that way!! Hee,hee.
Thank you again Nicole for connecting us all together!
I look forward to seeing the 'revealing' of your daughter's finished project! :o)

What simply beautiful and unusual yarn!
I love that yarn, it's beautiful. I am joining along again this week. :) Off to look at some of the other links.
That noro is lovely and is definitely cheerful enough to brighten a grey day. :)
I completely understand having multiple projects going. Different moods require different projects, correct? :)

Thanks for hosting! Lovely yarn that you are working with. Aren't multiple project part of motherhood? We are all multi-taskers. . .

Either motherhood or my ADD... can't decide.
That yarn is divine!!! Rainbows are the color of my brain right now and if I was not sticking to my stash bashing pledge I would be all over it. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Very pretty yarn. always fun to see how the Noro turns out. It does tend to be itchy, but it is also pretty warm.
Thanks again for hosting this link-up... it's always great to see what people are making. The colours of the Noro look lovely and I can't wait to see K's project.
