Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

KCCO

Poor C probably thinks her Mama has forgotten about her belated birthday gifts.
But fear not little one - Just look! Your C Ingalls Wilder is so close to being done. Now let's see if I can actually finish it up for her. I am in the process of sewing on the pockets and then all I need to do is sew on buttons and block. For some reason I tend to lose steam when it gets to the tiny finishing details, which is ridiculous of me. They don't take long to do but I get this mental block and can't finish them.

How about you? What are you working on? Happy creating!

If you would like to link up and share your current works in progress please leave your link below. It can now be either to your specific blog post or Flickr photo. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Nicole, C's birthday dress is adorable!! She will be thrilled I am sure :-) And you have inspired me to knit something for my little one (and if I get it done in time for her birthday ~ fingers crossed I will post about it soon)

Thank you for joining!
My project this week is killing me and my very limited sewing skills. It's the first time I am attempting making a dress for N. I love making her pants, but I so love her in dresses. So every pattern I found for free online was too hard for me so I made my own pattern from a dress I got on etsy for her that I adore. So this thing will be a little topsy turvy. Last night I tried bias tape for the first time. Arrrrgh! Tricky but fabulous all at the same time. Usually I can whip out the pants in an evening. This little dress might take me a week. I have new respect for you mamas who make dresses all the time!

Yay for handknits!
Oh! I love, love those colors. So cosy and cheerful and snuggly. It's going to be gorgeous.
It's truly beautiful, I love the little details of that pattern. It can be sometimes so hard to do this little, less fun things to finish up projects, but you can do it! :)
Hi there - just found your blog today via #18 above and so glad I did. What a great site! I look forward to reading more.

Looks cute! My project is preparing for setting up a naturetable.
My first clothing items sewn for my baby girl! Not as hard as I thought it would be and I think I have the sewing bug now! http://pottytunityknocks.blogspot.com/2012/05/cra...

When the sewing bug bites, it bites hard!!! Looking forward to seeing more :)
It's going to be a beautiful little dress!
I also seem to loose steam when it comes to finishing projects. Which is just silly as the knitting it self takes so much more time than the actually finishing ;)
I love your little project--so bright and sunny and cheerful. This is my first time to link up with you--In fact I just found your blog and can't wait to look around a little more!

Thank you Kim and welcome!!!
Love that dress!! :)
I often have to put something away for a few days before I can do those final details. Not sure why - but it comes together in the end!
That is simply adorable! Can't wait to see yours all done!
I have a number of partially finished projects and I am determined to remedy that!!
