Keep Calm Craft On {crafting on}

*wool snowflake from my friend Yvonne at the Spring Creek Store*

Not too much accomplished here since our last meeting. Although I did block Baby L's birthday sweater and get some fun fabric in the mail (but I have no clue what I should make with it, the images on it are pretty big - any thoughts?) I am just really trying to get Baby L's gifts done in time. His doll is about 80% done thanks to a couple of nights of sewing and listening to thisand this.Music can be a huge motivation or a distraction for me at times - I guess it depends on my mood and what is playing. Anyone else? But alas, his crown is still untouched. The fabric for the elastic band arrived over the weekend yet, still it sits here on my desk, staring at me as I type this. I really have no excuse for avoiding it other than I just haven't been inspired. Hopefully that changes quickly. I dug out K's baby doll crown to use as the pattern for Baby L's doll crown. Maybe working on that smaller one will be just the motivation and inspiration I need. Even better, maybe you guys could inspire me with what projects you are working on or recently finished. You blew me away last week and I am anxiously awaiting to see what you have been up to since then. So let's see 'em!

If you would like to join me and share your current works in progress please leave your link below. There are no rules, only that your link is current and something about a craft project (of any kind) you are working on. Please remember to link back here for all of us to see. It's as simple as that. Remember your post can be from any day of the week, it doesn't have to be today. Now please share and inspire us all!

What are you working on?! Happy creating!

p.s - There is still a couple of days to enter to win your own GLOB paint kit. Details here.

p.p.s - Oh and Happy Valentine's day!

I like your gifts for Baby L. The crown promises to be so cute. . . I really like the snowflake, sometimes I do miss winter here in Africa.
Thank you for the link up Nicole:) The sweater is so gorgeous, both the colour and design.
xo xo

the snow flake crown is looking good and I look forward to seing his doll come to life as you add eyes and hair. They are the most fun parts!
That sweater is exquisite. The fabric makes me think "regal"...maybe a little Narnian? But I have no clue what you should make! lol
Love the jumper, looks so cosy! My mum makes the kids book bags using fabric with nice big bright prints :-)
I love the acorn crown! We are collecting heaps of acorns from our two oak trees at the moment, with millions more to come!
I'm trying to find the courage (seriously, here) to attempt making a waldorf doll for my boys (yes, that means three dolls - ugh). My husband keeps insisting that the knitted dolls I make are "good enough" but I just don't feel the same. And yet.. every time I think about determining the right fabrics, cutting out pattern pieces, and actually sewing.. I panic. Blergh. I'm going to go through all the links in this (and previous) Craft On posts to try and motivate myself.
Your baby doll is looking fantastic. I just know you will finish in time.
Love the snowflake and tree flannel. That has such nice colors in it. I am knitting a 5 hr baby sweater that has taken a week and half so far for my baby. And A baby pixie piolet for a new baby of a friends. Also the on going horse quilt has 4 more blocks to go this is 18 mo strong.
Where did you get the Holy Trinity fabric. I love it!

Oh that baby is SO sweet! I am very excited to make my kids their first birthday crowns this year, I'm having allot of fun planning them! Linking up with you again this week :)
Oh my gosh it Keep Calm Craft on day today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sooooo sorry for not linking up with you for the first time ;P it's been a week! Hubby has been working very late and I have these doll orders that are taking forever and I feel like I'm getting sick. Urrgh, no time to blog (but of course time to visit yours hahah) anyway, the crowns are sweet, the fabric yummy and your doll is turning out perfect. He is so adorable--- if even just naked and bald ;) Good luck finishing everything---- but know that tons of stuff in a life of a mama of at least more than 2 kiddies----doesn't get done.

Thanks for the post---- will link up next week ;)

Blessings,
Samantha (Woodland Woolens)
I love that you're making your son his baby doll. When I first saw the fabric, I thought "bag." My sons have "church bags" that have been around a long time, and they are designated only for must-sit-quietly-activities. But the fabrics really compliment eachother well. Quilt? If you have a small amount, maybe a simple quilt for his doll? After looking again, it looks like you have plenty for a larger project. Maybe leftovers then?

I really enjoy watching your crafts! Best regardes from Croatia!
Haha You got the fabric!! The doll is coming out so beautiful! Love the knitting and the crowns are gorgeous as usual. I on the other hand am feeling very uninspired : ( I did make valentine boxes for the kids but do not have the energy to blog about it.... Love all your projects this week.
The doll is a real sweetie and so are the crowns. I like the idea of a doll crown.
Finally finished a new hat for my littlest one. I have been putting it off for so long and finally just did it this weekend! I linked it to share.
The crown is going to look beautiful, I love the colour. The doll looks almost there, he is going to love it I am sure. Such love filled gifts!! My older son has a Tiger that is always with him and he has a crown as well. My littlest carries many friends and I don't have enough felt or time to make all 14 crowns, lol! Maybe he will scale down and they he can get a little one as well.
Have a good week and keep on crafting!
Well, for what it's worth, I joined in this week, Nicole. Thanks for the invite! :)
I am jealous of your waldorf doll. He is so cute and so well made. I really would like to make one for my son who will be one in 2 weeks, but dont think its going to happen in time. I dont even know where to begin. You are such an inspiration. I enjoy reading your blog everyday and seeing all of your great ideas.

Loving that yarn and the buttons look just perfect with it :)
I so want to learn how to make waldorf dolls! I think I may tackle one for my littlest' first birthday...which means I have 10 months to learn!
Linking up with a water color heart bouquet, thanks for the invite!
I really enjoy reading your blog, and have awarded you The Versatile Blogger Award. You can stop on by my blog to check it out. :)
