Knitting Mojo

Hallelujah! I am knitting again. (Don't you hear the choir singing?!) I am not back to where I used to be with it but I am getting my mojo back. I finished C's Phoebe sweater over the weekend and have since cast on K's sweater. I am not even going to try to get these done by Christmas, though. I think they will receive them on Epiphany instead. I'm won't push myself. The doll versions of the sweaters might wait until a bit later in the year. We'll see.

I only now noticed that I am unintentionally knitting the girls' sweaters in Baby L's colors. How funny! I spent forever picking out just the right colors for them - but I guess I must have really been on auto-pilot during the process!

Once I finish K's sweater I may treat myself to a fast instant gratification type project to help me fully recover from my knitting fatigue. Then maybe I'll try to get back to work on my and Baby L's papoosa. Oh but wait, Baby L's first birthday is coming up in February...

I really want to get some reading in, too. I feel like it has been forever since I sat down to read a book - I don't mean a parenting, Waldorf education or childrens reading book but a real good read... know what I mean? I have a copy of Story of a Soul that was ever so kindly given to me (from someone special) sitting here next to my computer waiting for me to pick it up. I have been feeling even more drawn to it lately so maybe my knitting might go back on hold afterall. I wish I could knit and read at the same time so I didn't have to choose between the two.

OOOh... that is a very pretty yarn- Love the way it is looking :)
I really like the yarn you have chosen, they colours are so pretty. Glad to hear you are getting your knitting mojo back!
Beautiful colours!
I've found audible.com this year & so now I am read to as I quilt, knit, garden or vacuum. Wonderful!

Love Leanne NZ
Oh that yarn is just gorgeous dear Nicole!
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and New Year
Love
Linda
Those yarns are such soft, lovely colours. I hear you about not getting it done for Christmas! It's my mantra at the moment...
Glad you found your mojo :)

Love that soft green yarn, such a beautiful colour :) And I know exactly what you mean about hating having to choose between knitting and reading!
The yarn looks so pretty! I am thinking that I will need a break from knitting after the holidays, or maybe it will be more enjoyable for me to just work on projects for fun. I am also hoping to read the rest of the Hunger Games series after the holidays, not necessarily soul inspiring, but I have been enjoying the story so far!
Very pretty colors!! I'm working on one for my Jenny, but without a camera right now so no blog updates...I was inspired by the KAL though to finally get it started! I'm also aiming for Epiphany ;) I use audio books allot for that very reason! We don't have TV so it's really nice to cozy up in the evenings with my yarn and my "book". Happy return of your knitting mojo, happy solstice, and a very Merry Christmas!! xoxoxo
Love the yarn - great pics!
You got it done!!!! Yipeeeeee!! I think giving it to them on Epiphany is a great idea. Funny about using L's colors. Can't wait to see pics of them wearing their Pheobe's.
Books on tape/cd/online are great accompaniments to knitting!
What delicious yarn. Knit and read at the same time? Why not ask for audio books for Christmas. I do so I can iron, knit or whatever and read at the same time. Happy Christmas
Those sweaters are going to be absolutely beautiful!
The yarn is so scrumptious! I love love love the colors. I can't wait to see them finished!
Glad you were bit by the knitting bug! Love your projects :)
I love those two colors. So pretty. I too find that a few quick projects can restore the mojo.
Audiobooks! They've been the perfect answer for me in the yarncraft/reading dilemma.
First of all, I'd like to thank you for mentioning Behold THe Star a while ago. I got it in the mail recently and have just started reading it. It is lovely and I am much interested by other books by members of the Bruderhof community. Thanks again!
I warmly invite you to read Story of a Soul. You see, I am Catholic, true. And I was born October 1st which is St Therese's day. I always felt a special link with her and her story really resonates with me.When I moved to the Usa I made sure to bring with me her icon, gently donated by Cristiana many years ago.... Your knitting is lovely. You'll get it finished whenever you can and everybody will be satisfied! Merry Christmas to you and your family...

I am so glad you like it! I did, indeed, start to read Story of a Soul and I am so glad I did. It's just what I am needing right now.
I wish the same thing, knit and read, but I can't, good that you have you mojo back.
Hooray for getting back to knitting! Being in a rut is the worst!
audiobooks! With two littles, it is the only way I can seem to find the time to "read". I listen on headphones during random quiet moments and after my boys are asleep or as I lay in bed drifting off.
