Coming Around

Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (the girls woke up to this set up at their table including this book:Talking Eagle and the Lady of Roses: The Story of Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadalupe )

Not the best pic but I swear it looks like she is watching over them, doesn't it?

(What happens when your little ones decorate your tree - all the ornaments are in one area)

Just popping in quick as I address Christmas cards by the fire. I think I am starting to come back around, thank you for your words of encouragment. I filled up a trash bag and a box yesterday of things to donate and get out of our home. My desire to knit is slowly coming back and I want to take advantage of it while I can. I have to finish up start an ornament for our yearly Living Crafts swap that was due back on Saint Nicholas day, so that I may mail it with my Christmas cards tomorrow. For tonight I thought I would just share glimpses of a few things going on in our lives. I'll be back tomorrow night with my weekly Rhythm In Our Home post, if not sooner. See you then!

How blessed you are!!
Hey I recognize that card ;) Enjoy the season and if you're failing to feel jolly... I have some scientific evidence that red wine and dark chocolate can make everything bright.

Yes, yes ;) mmmm chocolate I may need to indulge...
I love your Virgen de Guadalupe day celebration! My husband and I are both of a Mexican background, though I was brought up by my Irish mother. We're not religious but I still think it is a beautiful holiday to celebrate. A friend of mine's daughter was actually born on that day 4 years ago- it's her patron saint and she's named after her :) I've never heard of that book before- going to have to check that out! I'm hoping to widely expand our book collection this coming year!

And, just sayin', one day you should post a list of the festivals you all celebrate, with links to past posts. Though I suppose that is kind of time consuming, what with three little ones and all!

Anywho, peace as always, loving your posts, enjoy your holiday!

Thank you, this was our first year celebrating. I look forward to next year. I will try to see if I can do a post like you mentioned. In the meantime if you look under 'Festivals/celebrations' you can see some of them. HTH!
Love all your pics but especially the ones of Our Lady of Guadalupe!

Living Crafts swap? I was part of that two years ago (I think it was the first one featured in the magazine). I didn't know there was one this year - boo hoo! I missed out!

We have the same, many ornaments on the bottom of the tree. I've now been finding them throughout the house... Noah has been sneaking them away. :)

Ha,ha - oh yes, we have that issue, too! Not just my kids but the cats, as well!
My children did the same thing - hang them all in one place. Ah well! It's so nice to have them be a part of the decorating traditions!

Yes, I just leave it because to them it is beautiful.
