Re-do

This week we seized the opportunity to make up for our failed pumpkin picking attempt last Friday. I am so glad we were able to. Of course with it being so late in the pumpkin picking season, there wasn't much left for us. The girls loved it either way and that's really what matters.
I'm exhausted so I think I'll let the pictures do most of the talking...

First we stopped at the grocery store by school and I snapped a pic of the three of them in a pile of pumpkins. As you can see that didn't work out.

Where did my girls go?

I usually don't go for posed photos and prefer to just get the images that truly capture the moment but I felt the need to try to get a picture of all three of my children together. I hadn't really tried until then.
As I am sure you can imagine (especially if you have more than one kid), it was an interesting experience trying to get all three of them to look at me at the same time...

One silly face led to another...

and before you knew it, the silliness took over everyone.

It was all worth the wait!

Baby L caught on to what all the giggles were about back at the pumpkin patch by the time we arrived back home.

Then he needed to nurse before I could change him into warmer clothes (it's colder in our house than it is outside so we actually put on more layers at home- weird, I know). K asked if she could take a picture with my camera. I do believe this is the one and only picture of Baby L and I together (minus the couple of photos my midwife took right after he was born). I will always treasure it, with my crazy hair and all.

P.S. - Rav notes for pumpkin hats here and Baby L's longies (more info on them soon) here.

OH! What a sweet, sweet photo K took. And the three of them together...too much! So much love shared in and through those photos. xoxo
Those hats are fabulous!!

And I get it about the cold house. It's often colder in my house than outside. We wear a ton of clothes indoors!

Oh, Nicole, that pic of you breastfeeding him is such a treasure! Love them all. You actually did waaay better than me at capturing all three of my girls looking anywhere near the camera. Actually, they were all looking off in every pic and River was trying to escape.. in *every* pic!

Those are the sweetest photos! And I am so happy for a glimpse of you. I don't think I have seen one since the Living Crafts shoot for the kitted fruit baskets!
I am still in love with the pumpkin hats...

By the way... I looked up the Dutch translation in 'the Sun Egg' from Elsa Beskow, because you thought it was a translation issue. Well, It seems that you are right. In Dutch it says that he is 'een plaaggeest' that has nothing to do with 'stupid', but it means something about teasing.

Oh what lovely photos! I especially like the second one down - so cute!
I love L's longies. Do you use them as a "diaper cover" or more as pants.

Hi Nicole. They turned out to be exceedingly beautiful pumpkin pics I think! Thank you so much for the Lantern Walk photos. Naiya so missed your girls right near the end of our journey and tried to wait for them outside the gate. It was a late night for her though and we finally headed home. Hope your adventure through the garden was as magical as ours. Oh, and I quite agree...nice to see a picture of you on your blog!

I just love the "punkin pie" hats! Your pictures of your three babes are darling, and the Mama nursing photo is so tender. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful moment. Love and light to you---Kate
I LOVE the matching hats!! They are so sweet. The pics in the punkin patch are great as well as the kiddo ones too. Especially the one of the girls looking at each other with their tongues out. LOVE it!____:)Lisa
