Computer: 1 Me: 0

Tried to change the template but my pictures were still as tiny as they are now. *sigh*
Anyone know how to change to a template that has only one side column and uploads larger pictures?

If you go to the 'design' tab and click 'template designer'. If you want to change the whole template there are a bunch of templates you can scroll through, you can pick one that only has two columns, one for your posts and one for all the other stuff. If you want to keep the same template and just change the layout click 'layout' and there you can select a layout with only two columns. Then just make sure that when you put your pictures in you're selecting 'X-large' (when you click the picture there's that bar that pops up on the bottom that has size options).

Hope that helps?? Maybe? :)
After you pick the template and arrangement- you can adjust the width of the sidebar and central columns. I think it is under advanced options in template designer. I changed the entire blog, then blogger had their several days of problems- and it reverted. So I got lots of practice. When you change the template, the pictures that are already on the blog will stay the same, so you'll have to change them manually if you want them larger.
There are ways to widen, but it might run into your sidebar. I like you layout a lot though so just wanted you to know that!
I am wanting to maybe try the same thing. When I make my horizontally oriented photos large, they are still fairy small on the screen. If I make them XL, they get cut off. Vertically oriented ones can go XL, but some still get cut off on the sides. Some days I fantasize of switching to Typepad, but who has the time for that now...?
I am excited to hear what solution you come up with, and I may follow suit.
Thanks everyone I really appreciate your help! I tried the new templates but they still weren't working. Ughh. Perhaps I am not meant to change it.
When I upload photos I am only offered 'large' as the biggest size i nthe pop up window, where is the X- large option, again?
Hmm, for me the 'X-large' is right beside large... I guess maybe because of your layout they only offer large? Sorry you're having such trouble with it! I know I have spent way too much time messing with my layouts and what not and it's still not quite right. Of course, I don't have many people (followers) to impress, hehe.
I had to go directly into the html code and change the number of pixels allotted to each column.Use this tutorial: http://www.blueorchidblog.com/2007/10/how-to-have...
I had to switch to photobucket as my photo storage site. Hope that helps!
