Let's get this party started!

Thank you everyone for your kind words, wisdom and insight. You all inspire me!
Alright, after all my crafting woes I'm finally back on track (which is a good thing since I only have about 11 days before her birthday!). I think everyone will know our favorite colors after this post, tee hee.

Here's her baby doll's birthday crown. Sweet and simple.

I decided she needed some shorties...ok really I was finding any reason to put off working on her birthday crown (which I still need to do by the way!) so I knitted these up quick with some more yummy Fiona yarn from Three Irish Girls. I will knit her a pair of longies out of this for the fall too. If they look huge to you..it's because they are. I made them the next size up so she can wear them this year and next year, too.

K and I worked on some birthday decorations today. Last week after Circle Time at Kinderhaus the craft was to make tissue paper and beeswax flowers. They were really easy and fun to make. Tiffeni,as always is brilliant!
We decided to make some more to put on C's birthday table.

All it takes is some pipe cleaners, tissue paper and modeling beeswax (although if you don't have that I'm sure you could improvise with something else).
Cut out some flower shapes in the tissue paper (I did 3 for each flower),set them aside.
Get out your modeling wax and take off 2 tiny pieces. Roll one into a snake and 1 into a ball. take the one you rolled into a snake and wrap it around the pipe cleaned about 1/2" from the top.

Then add your tissue paper flowers and then take your wax ball and put it on the top. Voila!

Ok enough computer time, back to creating!

Lovely! What a great idea for making flowers. We have been making the old traditional tissue paper folded flowers for our nature table but these are lovely - thanks for the great idea.

BTW, I found you on MDC, I am Charbeau there. :-)

Hi! I found your blog through a MDC thread on Waldorf playspaces. The shorties are adorable -- that's one of my favorite color combinations. I look forward to reading your blog.
