Crafting On

The act of creating, in one form or another, preserves my sanity amongst the chaos of life. This explains why I always have more than one project going at a time as well as why my housework tends to fall behind. I enjoy seeing what others are working on and keeping calm with, too. What are you creating? What is keeping you going? Snap a picture or two, post it on your blog, on Instagram #craftingon and/or Flickr and then share it with the rest of us by leaving your link below.

I'm taking a break from all the baby knitting to focus on my own baby for a bit. Well, and then there is Christmas I have to think about. Oh boy! The project above will hopefully turn into a cute little sweater, that is if I can get my math and the patterns correct. I am knitting the Fisherman's Pullover pattern but omitting the garter panel on the front so that I can incorporate an adorable reindeer colorwork chart I found (I read bad reviews on the sweater it went with).

What are you working on? Happy creating!

Oh that's a clever idea, if it's stocking stitch colour work a garter panel might have been intended to be a little wider so you might need to add a couple of stitches either side or just choose something with a nice amount of ease. I'm in denial about Christmas - I have so many plans and I'm trying to be realistic and still ending up wanting to make all the things - I think I'm going to do a round of socks for the kids, I just need to stealth measure their feet!
I wish I was as crafty as you are. I used to crochet just a simple stitch and I have never knit. I would love to make my own sweaters.
Beautiful start. I always love your color choices :)
Looks like you'll be combining the best of both worlds with that sweater!
