Five. How can that be?! I admit that since the birth of Baby F, Little L does look a lot older but I still see him as my baby. His birthday celebration was over the course of a few days due to me just not being able to get my act together. I still can't. He waited patiently to receive a special knit shark for days after his birthday only to have it come out like a mutant shark, yet he is still happy with it.

My dear, sweet boy. He is our bringer of light and lover of life. How very blessed we are to have chosen us to be his family.

p.s. I apologize for not responding to recent comments. I will be very soon, though!

Happy Birthday to little L! I can't believe that he is five! I think your shark cake is awesome! I couldn't have made anything that cool! You are such a good mama and so loving and thoughtful of your children's special likes. We can all learn from your mama wisdom! Have a great week! Kate :-)
Happy Birthday L! Wish we could have celebrated with you. Your penpal has a gift for you (that her mama neglected to mail on time). I love these pictures. How I wish we were close enough that we could meet little F.

ha! I really don't :) I actually finished that sweater before Christmas. I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it once baby f was born.
Sorry I meant to type "How do you have time to knit?"
Aw happy birthday to L :) My youngest will be 5 at the end of this month, it's crazy how fast this time goes. Baby F's booties are so cute :)
Oh, you have reminded me how my son had a thing about sharks. Love the shark cake. My favourite shark joke goes: What is yellow and dangerous? Shark-infested custard!

Happy Birthday to L.
When you have a chance, please let me know which pattern you used for those adorable baby booties. I would love to make some for a friend's new baby. Many thanks and blessings to you!

Lovely photos and it looks like it was a lovely birthday celebration as well! I LOVE your shark cake! I don't think it's a silly attempt at all! I bet your little one thought it was super cool!
That Shark cake is AWESOME!!! What a creative, easy, idea of how to make it. What mom doesn't love a cake that is easy to make (or so it looks to be) and looks Cool to boot?!
