Slumber Party

slumber party slumber party slumber party slumber party A wonderful thought occurred to my girls just the other night. Now that Little L no longer needs me to fall asleep, he could sleep with them - slumber party!! Of course the sheer excitement of it all kept them up many hours past their bedtime. I don't think I could even name all the different things they were playing but endless giggles were heard all throughout the night, and I think that says enough. They were just having so much fun, I just couldn't bring myself to end it.

The pictures above are of how I found them when they finally crashed. They are horribly grainy and dark but I love the sweet sibling moment they capture. Even though my little ones had two twin beds they could have spread out in, they chose to cuddle all three together in one twin. From the look of it, I would say Little L has about 75% of the bed. My children just genuinely enjoy each other's company and find comfort in one another,  so I guess it would make sense that they would all want to be so close.

The next day brought about bickering and overall crankiness from their lack of sleep, but I think the memories we all shall have from that special slumber party made it all worth it.

That beautiful Briar Rose quilt is a reminder I only have 4 blocks left on mine. Thanks for the kick in the rear!
Definitely worth it, Nicole. Sweetest photos. Thank you for sharing.

What beautiful photos. Love the quilt too.
beautiful! there's something almost dew-like about children when they sleep - they almost glow. beautiful quilt too! the colours are lovely.
That's so lovely! They're adorable, what a beautiful moment.
What a lovely scene. There is something so sweet about sleeping children anyway, and these precious moments of sibling love are something to treasure indeed.
I think it's worth it! so cute!

How sweet! Thanks for sharing!
Your children and mine are proof that children can be taught to get along with each other and spend good quality time together without fighting. I don't believe that siblings should be mean and cruel to each other just because they can. You are doin a great job!
Love these pictures! They bring back memories of when my girls shared a bed! They have their own now but they are only seperated by a small table in between "so we can still hold hands if we want to". I love how connected my girls are and it seems as if your three are that deeply connected too! The quilt is gorgeous by the way!
wonderful! Made me think of what I've got to look forward too! Your photos are so beautiful Nicole!
Beautiful!
This is just too sweet for words. : )
How special these photos are. I wish that my little grand doll had a friend her age that she could have a party with.
