I am hoping to post my thoughts a bit more on this matter in the near future, but I am really still trying to figure things out with our diets. I wish I had it more together but I know I don't! :) When I gave up veganism I forgot about the health benefits of that diet and after gainig weight and feeling down right sluggish I am realizing whatI am missing out on. I think we really will be heading back to that but even healthier. I am goign to make it a slow transition, though as C will resist it the most. She would live off of dairy and grains if I let her and I can see it is really doing a lot to her little body. I think she will benefit the most from our change. Right now our diet is a bit wonky, we are lacto-ovo vegetarians(+ no gelatin or anything like that) with Baby L and I not partaking in dairy. I followed a veg version of Paleo for 40 days during Lent and I have to say I felt AMAZING... BUT now looking back I think that is because I want 100% sugar free and didn't live off of grains as I tend to do. I don't know... did that help at all to explain where we are at. It is a big mess right now. I am looking forward to switching over to a whole foods plant based diet, I really do think that willbe the best for us. But that is also b/c I think everyone in my family has a dairy issue of some sort so getting that out of our systems will do miracles. What about you? Where are you at? Did you see FOK?FrontierDreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03279174669401662612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9218602897331908767.post-67325802329640750892012-07-27T11:27:08.347-04:002012-07-27T11:27:08.347-04:00Oh, sounds interesting. I have two little girls, have been on my own food journey these last few years, and I feel so conflicted when it comes to food right now. I care so much about humane treatment of animals, cancer/disease prevention, the amount of chemicals/hormones/antibiotics on our food... yet I'm wondering if my children are getting what they need by what we've been eating. Anyway, we seem to be at close places with this issue, yet you seem to have things a little more together than I, so I thought I'd ask. Again, your blog is my favorite. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us :)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08933193709134183459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9218602897331908767.post-53775827476264328272012-07-23T01:08:11.877-04:002012-07-23T01:08:11.877-04:00Thanks!
