The Journey Begins but We're Calling in Sick...

It's been a bit of a mad house around here these past couple of weeks. C came down with a nasty stomach bug. Luckily K avoided it, so she could attend her first day of school.

Unfortunately, the first day was all she could attend so far. Today is her second day of school but now she has come down with a different bug so we are keeping her home to recover.

I have lots of pictures and stories to share from her first day but to add to the sickness in the house, our computer virus came back and I can't upload any thing right now.

I do, however, have a little video of K when she came home from her first day of school. It's amazing to see her teacher's influence after just one short day!

(Btw at the begining of the video she is lighting her story telling candle and announcing storytime with the bells)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and I will be back as soon as we are all better!

Very sweet and magical. Thanks for sharing the video. I love the way stories are being told in Waldorf schools.

Hopefully you're all on the road to health shortly. I chuckled at the cat. Leave it to the cat to show up at just the right time. Our cats are like that!

So sorry to heat that you are all sick. I hope that you recover soon. My dd started at the Waldorf nursery this past week and I am amazed so far at the level of creativity (we also took down our TV completely this week and this may have something to do with it as well ;) Wishing K a wonder-filled school year.

I sure hope the sickies vacate your home soon Nicole. And I especially hope you stay healthy while caring for all 3 of your babes. Remember to rest (if you can).

Very sweet, I love how she keeps looking to you to make sure you are capturing her story! (I think). It amazes me that your girl could be at any Waldorf school in the world as they all do storytime basically the same way. There is truth to their methods, for certain! Wherever you are, that stomach bug is all over...in this little nest as well. Heal well.

Too adorable! This just proves how easily children can be influenced and begs us to be ever vigilant. Sorry everyone is under the weather there. Same is true with our family. I'm hoping we get it all out of the way now so we can enjoy a healthy autumn! Feel better!

I have a question. I've asked several other Waldorf bloggers but have not received an answer. What exactly makes a Waldorf toy or art "Waldorf"?

The kiddos and I enjoyed watching the video, and we wish you all a speedy recovery.
