Celebrating the 1st day of spring....LATE

well, we wanted to do this on the 1st day of Spring but didn't get to it so instead we celebrated Spring Sunday the 30th. We don't celebrate Easter but we knew K would get a kick out of finding eggs outside so we told her the root children,spring birds,and bugs left her presents outside. As you can see she enjoyed it!
Shes wearing PJs that are way too big on her LOL. we bought them from Kinderhaus on Saturday for her to wear next winter. They are some super nice Ruskovilla organic wool Pjs. She loves them so much though she had to have them right away.
It's been cold enough her the past couple of days for her to wear them too.

Well, there you have our newborn diapers and covers stash. K was too tiny for size smalls and I needed size newborn dipes but didn't have many so this time around I wanted to make sure I had some..now watch this babe will be too big for the newborn size!!

I finally have all my yarn and needles to do my 12 squares for the farmyard swap. I casted on March 20th, I am on my 2nd square now. I am hoping to have them half done at least before sprout is born. The deadline is August 1st which is plenty of time but with a toddler and baby it may take me that long!





We decided with having the lead issue with K that with this babe we'll just use wooden bowls and spoons to feed him/her. now we just need to get some!

I am awake ;ate at night typing this up b/c I've been having braxton hicks contractions for a couple hours now. Hopefully they stop soon. I' not ready for Sprout to appear just yet!!!

Felting eggs and other K crafts

Here's K's kite she made last month after circle time at Kinderhaus. She actually made 2 but I didn't take a pic of the 2nd one.


Last Saturday we went to Kinderhaus again for the Spring festival and made felted eggs. We have them both on our springtime nature table right now and the bigger one,as you can see has a little chick hatching from it. Lini picked the wool colors but pretty much left the felting to me while she ate some yummies and played with daddy.




She was very into picking out the right colors. She had been talking about what color eggs she wanted to make for many weeks!




Can you believe that I only have 30 days left til this baby is due?! I'm stressing a little bit over it I still have so much to do!

Lini's airplane obsession and kitty toys

We finally,after 3 years of saying we were goign to go, made it to the air and space museum yesterday. I think it was good timing b/c K is completely obsessed with airplanes and helicopters right now.
They had a lot of plane you could actually walk in and ones you could pretend to fly too. Her favorite,though, was what she called the 'K sized airplane' seen below. She made Kevin and I fly in it with her too.

my kitties love wool. so i made these mice with wool yarn, wool stuffing and some catnip thrown inside. I had to make 2 b/c they fought over this one LOL. I could only find 1 to take a pic though. i had to alter the pattern b/c these mice are smaller than a walnut shell which is too small for my cats so I made it about 4 times that size.


not the prettiest thing but they love it. the other one doesnt even have ears b/c they stole it before i could finish it!!! Geisha hasn't let this leave her side all day she carries it around EVERYWHERE.

the sock fairy came!

It took me a loooonnnggggg week but K's socks are done! man sock yarn is thin and size 1 needles are a PITB, i broke 1 in the process!But they are done now and she is happy.
Heres the finished product! they are a bit big on her but the pattern was big, i made them more for next winter since winter is pretty much gone here now.
I put them on in K's sleep last night, i was the sock fairy. she was beyond excited when she woke up and saw them, shes been patiently waiting for me to be finished with them. Now she won't take them off!!

YES, it is true,no lie, we STILL HAVE NO NAME FOR THE BABY! We are still uncertain and nothing really stands out to us.

EEEK! only a little over a month left!

I can't believe we only have a little over month left before Sprout is born. So much left to do! My to do list only seems to grow instead of getting shorter! K, at least is almost fully potty learned now. She just wears a diaper at night so thats 1 less thing to worry about. We still need to come up with money to buy a car seat and pick out a name for this baby too! Not to mention get my camera fixed so we can have pics of Sprout. ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyways enough of my stress. Heres a pic of Sprout in my belly at 33 weeks and 3 days.
When we took the pics K wanted us to take pics of her,again, 'doing that' LOL she looks like a big floating head b/c you can't see anything else in the pics.



I finally finished up all 6 of my organic washcloths for K and Sprout so that's taken care of. BUT I don't know why I ever agreed ot make K socks, they are taking FOREVER to knit, I'm about 1/2 way done with the 1st sock. i still need to knit a sun hat for Sprout before s/he is born.


With K being so certain Sprout is a girl and eveyone teling me kids usually know i'm starting to feel more like it's a girl too. we'll have to wait and see though!

Finally heres a pic of K cuddlign with her Radharani doll. She was super happy in this pic.Oh i forgot to mention she has an imaginary friend now. Her name is Sita. She calls her all the time and joins us for meals etc.
